Chapter 531 Unfamiliar With Her
The two were talking and didn’t notice that Jolene was still there.
Jolene couldn't believe it. Jenny, who came from the countryside, knew James? And why did they seem so close?
Jolene suddenly realized she didn't know a thing about Jenny, which scared her.
"Do you know Mr. Windsor, sister?" Jolene approached them with a smile. Although both families were from the top
ten families in Bardoff City, the Windsor family was considered more prominent, and Jolene saw them as a good
choice for in-laws. However, James had always been indifferent toward her, ignoring her whenever they met at
dinner parties. Only Brandon would follow her around.
Jenny nodded and smiled. "Yes."

Hearing that, James frowned and turned to look at Jolene.
Jolene Walter. He knew the name but was familiar with her. He continued talking to Jenny, "The party is almost over.
Shall I take you back?"
Jenny hesitated and scanned the room for Alec but couldn't find him. She then agreed, saying, "Okay, I'll trouble
you then."
Of course, the Walters had a driver waiting for them outside, but Jenny felt that she didn't need to be so reserved
due to her relationship with James. Since he offered to drive her home, she had no reason to refuse.
Jolene almost turned green with jealousy, but still, she put on a smile and said, "Mr. Windsor, I'm going home too?"
Her eyes were begging him to take her along.
Jenny was relieved that she had never thought of Jolene as her younger sister. She would have been embarrassed if
she had.
"Do you really need me to send you back, Miss Jolene?" James was indifferent toward Jolene, and he had no
intention of driving her home.
Jolene, however, persisted. "If you're sending my sister back, what's wrong with sending me back too?" She viewed
the Windsor and Walter families as equals, despite the Windsors' greater prominence. She wondered why he
treated her that way.
"No," James refused bluntly.
Jolene was furious, but she dared not offend him. She turned to Jenny and tried to appeal to their supposed
sisterhood. "Sis-"
"Stop it. Do you really think of me as your sister?" Jenny found the suggestion amusing;

Aside from pretending to be sisters in front of Graham, Jenny couldn't be bothered to put up with the act.
Jolene couldn't force herself to smile anymore.
At a loss for words, she watched the car drive away, clenching her fists so tightly that her nails dug into her flesh.
She was determined not to let Jenny take everything that belonged to her.
At the hotel entrance, Jenny got into James's car, and they left. Alec appeared from a corner after they were gone.
He had seen Jenny looking for him at the party but didn't reveal himself. He knew that acknowledging her in public
would only cause her more trouble.
Alec felt uneasy watching Jenny leave with another man. He recognized James from the Parrington auction, where
he had come to Jenny's rescue. Apparently, he was a senior student under Jenny's mentor. However, Alec wasn't
sure if James treated her as a fellow student. The uncertainty troubled him.
