Chapter 1126 Be My Girlfriend
As it was very early in the morning, there weren't many tourists at the Faire Tower. Only
two or three people were around, and it was quite serene. Alec looked up at the iron tower
in front of him and asked, "Can we go up?"
"We can. Do you want to go up?" Jenny thought Alec was just there to take a look, but she
didn't expect him to have the intention of ascending the tower. Could he have really come
here to travel as a tourist?
Alec nodded and looked at Jenny hopefully. "Since we’re here, let's go up and take a look."
"Since we're here," was what all tourists would say.
Jenny had actually been there before. She'd come excitedly in her first year of studying
abroad since it was a famous landmark many said one should visit at least once in a
lifetime.
"Okay." She nodded and led Alec up the iron tower.

They could easily see the whole city in its splendor from their position.
"This city is still the same as before. Not much has changed," Jenny sighed. It was a huge
contrast from Bardoff City. If she left for a few years, Bardoff City would definitely be
different by the time she came back.
Alec nodded. "Yeah."
"Let's go down after we've had enough of the scenery here. Since you want to travel,
there are many other places we should visit," Jenny said, turning around to leave.
Unexpectedly, Alec grabbed her wrist and stopped her from leaving." What's the hurry?
Let's look for a while longer.’
Jenny wondered what else was there to see. Helpless, she had no choice but to continue to
stand and look into the distance.
Before she realized it, Alec had moved behind her and gently called her name, “Jenny."
Jenny turned around and was astonished to see Alec kneeling on one knee, holding a ring
in his hand. He said, "Be my girlfriend."
Jenny quickly came back to her senses. Luckily no one was around; otherwise, she would
be embarrassed. "Are you confessing or proposing?"
"Either one is fine. If you're okay with it, I can propose too." Alec smiled.
Jenny rolled her eyes at him. "Dream on."
"Jenny, just give me an answer. Are you willing to be my girlfriend? I'm still kneeling here."
Alec couldn't help but laugh bitterly. He was quite confident before, but now he had no
idea if Jenny would accept him since she still hadn't given him a concrete answer.
With a slight smile, Jenny said with dissatisfaction, "Since you want me to be your
girlfriend, it wouldn't hurt to kneel for a while more. Show me more sincerity."
"If you promise to be my girlfriend, I'll kneel however long you want me to," Alec replied
hurriedly. He didn't have a problem with kneeling; he was just afraid Jenny wouldn't say
yes to him.

Instead of answering, Jenny took the ring from his hand. "Didn't you give me a New Year's
gift before? I thought you were going to confess with that ring."
"I didn't think that ring was good enough. This one is even prettier.’ Only the most
beautiful ring was worthy of Jenny in his eyes.
Although Jenny didn't say anything, the corners of her mouth that lifted up revealed her
true thoughts. She was utterly delighted.
She returned the ring to Alec and instructed, "Here, put it on for me."
Alec was so overjoyed that he cried, and in his flustered state, he helped Jenny put on the
ring. He was even shaking a little bit.
Jenny couldn't help but laugh. "Why are you so nervous? It's like you're eighteen.’
"Hey, it's my first confession. It's natural to be nervous." Alec couldn't remember if they
had ever confessed their love for each other before, but he felt certain that he'd never
prepared as carefully as he did this time, and he'd never been as nervous as he was a
moment ago.
Perhaps that was just how people were-they never realized how precious something was
until they'd lost it. He looked at the person in his arms and silently vowed to never let go
of Jenny again.
