Chapter 1069 He Will Not Marry Her
"Marigold is pregnant." Jenny didn't hide it from Evan. She didn't think there was a need
to, as everyone would know sooner or later.
The revelation stunned Evan. Uncertain, he asked, "Is the child Gilbert's?"
"Yeah." Jenny nodded.
Evan found it rather unbelievable. When he finally recovered from the shock, he asked
Jenny, "Gilbert probably doesn't know yet, right?"
If he knew, he wouldn't be so calm.
"Not yet. I don't know if I should tell him." She was even more uncertain about how to
break the news to Gilbert.
However, Jenny knew that Gilbert had to know. In fact, she agreed with Paul that Gilbert
should marry Marigold. She wouldn't have been bothered if Gilbert and Marigold had only
slept together. After all, they were both adults. However, with a child in the picture,

Evan seemed to understand her dilemma. ' Gilbert probably won't marry Marigold. He

"Do you think that if he knew, he would ask Marigold to abort the child?" Jenny asked. If

Evan nodded. "I think instead of trying to make Gilbert marry Marigold, you should try to
persuade Marigold to get rid of the child."
His suggestion shocked Jenny. Never had she expected Evan to say that.

rather than marry someone who doesn’t even love her," Evan said.
Jenny felt that he wasn't speaking the truth. In her opinion, Evan had the same mindset as
Gilbert. They would rather die than marry a woman they didn't like. But how could Jenny
ask Marigold to get rid of the child?
She didn't continue the conversation with Evan. Jenny decided she needed a second
opinion, and it had to be from a woman.
Jenny gave Jade a call. Although she was closer to Stephanie, her friend had never been
married and had less experience than Jade. In comparison, Jade was much more mature.
"He should definitely marry her. He made a mistake, so he should take responsibility!"
Jade immediately expressed her opinion after hearing Jenny's story.
Jenny regretted calling her. She shouldn't have assumed that Jade would be more mature

"Hmph, with his character, even if he knows, he probably won't marry Marigold." She had
stayed in Orchid Village for some time and had interacted with Gilbert. Hence, she knew a
thing or two about him.
Her words filled Jenny with despair. "Do you also think that Gilbert won't marry Marigold?"
"Well, whether he wants to or not, he ought to marry her. Since he made a mistake,
shouldn't he be responsible for it?" Jade asked angrily.
Jenny didn't know what to say. After all, Marigold made the first move while drinking with
Gilbert. It was hard to determine who was at fault.
"I'm just afraid that Gilbert won't want to." Jenny expressed her concern. Although Gilbert
was her older brother, she couldn't force him if he didn't want to get married.
