Taming my Monster Girl Harem from Scratch
Chapter 193 Truth Of The Bloodlines (3)
Primo, finishing his part of the story, turned to Brother Mountain.
"My turn already? Can't you elucidate a bit more about some things?"
"It's irrelevant to him for now. Maybe later."
"Well, you probably feel ashamed sharing it with him—how you stayed a virgin up to the end of your life."
"Just continue the story before I erase you from this space."
"Just kidding! Don't take it to heart, man. Sheesh..."
After their brief bickering with each other, Brother Mountain cleared his throat before continuing.
"So, where were we? Ah, right, my beginning was pretty much identical to Primo's, but things changed after he managed to figure out how to communicate with me."
With a nostalgic smile, he started recounting his version of the past.
---
The first time Primo managed to communicate with Brother Mountain was when he was in the 3rd stage, where he was working hard to figure out a large majority of things.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThere, he immediately told Brother Mountain about everything he could regarding the future. Some parts weren't allowed to be communicated by fate itself, however, so in the end, he could only paint a vague image of the future.
"You know what the first thing he told me to aim for was? He said to find a partner to work with."
As if he were bragging, Brother Mountain continued.
This part, however, seemed to be a slight misunderstanding on Brother Mountain's part. Primo asked him to find a "partner" to fight with, like a trustworthy ally. However, in the end, Brother Mountain found a wife to share his life with as his lifetime partner.
"Primo didn't talk to me for a week after I and my wife spent our first night together. Hahaha!"
He laughed heartily, definitely both bragging and giving a jab at Primo. However, one question popped into my mind.
"Your wife... She is...?"
"You know her too, Fina. She became my wife."
"...!"
That was a surprise. Although I was wondering if his wife was someone I knew right now, I never thought it was actually Fina. This brother of mine is definitely a man of culture, marrying someone who had succubus blood.
The story continued; however, it was basically just him and Fina training together and reaching the God stage at the same time. Brother Mountain focused on defense and protection, while Fina focused on control. This was what Primo suggested to prevent the Singularity.
"However, something bad happened then."
Brother Mountain's smile slowly faded as his eyes started showing sadness and guilt.
"Because Primo contacted me early, the Singularity came earlier than before. It was earlier by hundreds of years."
The singularity was something that was set in stone. The more work you put into training yourself to challenge it, the sooner it'll come. It was too late for them to have this realization, however.
"As the singularity occurred, Fina and I were far from each other. Although I tried to protect her, I..."
Brother Mountain closed his eyes and took a deep breath, calming his nerves.
"Anyways, after that, similar to Primo, everyone apart from me died. However, since I was defense-oriented, I managed to hold on longer than Primo. I reached the end of the singularity."
"Just at the second try?!"
I was shocked. But wait, if they reached the end of the singularity, then why does the regression continue? As if reading my mind, Brother Mountain smiled.
"I may have survived, but Fina was gone. There's no point for me to continue living if I don't have any reason to live anymore. So, I did the same thing as Primo and sent my soul to the past."
"And I was included in that transfer for some reason."
Primo added from the side.
"It seems like since we have the same soul, it was treated as one and got sent to the past as a package."
I looked at Brother Mountain. He was smiling like an idiot, but I was in awe of his dedication. To think he'd sacrifice his own soul just to have the chance to save his wife, even if it was on a different timeline.
'If it were me, would I...?'
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe question crossed my mind, but honestly, I don't know. Even if I said that I would do the same, when the time came, I would probably hesitate. Luckily, or unluckily, my loop seems to be the last for some reason. In other words, if I fail, then only death or emptiness awaits.
"It's my turn now, right?"
After Brother Mountain's part ended, the third one, Tres, spoke with a smile.
"My start was completely different than the two. It must be the side effect of returning to the past or something, but even without them talking to me, I took a completely different path from them."
He took a deep breath and continued.
"I took the path of becoming a Support. I focused on healing and providing buffs, bringing other tamer's power to higher levels."
He recounted his experience then. With how Primo and Brother Mountain realized that interfering early would cause the singularity to come earlier, they didn't interfere until he reached the 8th stage and was stuck for a few decades.
"Then, after they started talking to me, I easily passed through all the roadblocks and reached the top quickly. I followed Brother Mountain's advice and got myself a wife."
"Someone I know too?"
I couldn't help but ask. Tres smiled as he nodded his head.
"You may not believe it, but I married Blanc. As we were both supports, we became closer to each other quickly. Even without Brother Mountain's input, I would've married her in the end, even if it took a few years longer."
A God tamer married another God tamer. Although nothing sounds out of the ordinary after hearing this, one fact shouldn't be ignored.
"She's like hundreds of years older than you, right?"
Tres turned to stare into my eyes, smiling suggestively, "That's the best part of it."
A man of culture! This one is another man of culture! Who would've thought he'd aim for a MILF? Wait, Blanc isn't a mother and is single, as far as I know. Also, isn't she a part of the church? Aren't they under an oath of celibacy? And Tres managed to snag her as his wife?
"... I salute your commitment, brother."
I couldn't find the right words to praise him, so I just saluted his way of life. As they say, nothing is impossible.
