“Why?" Yasmin was baffled.
"Why do you want to live forever? Aren't you tired?"
Dominic's answer stumped Yasmin. She indeed had to deal with many things every day to the point
she could not stop thinking about them whenever she tried to sleep at night. However, that was why
she wanted to live on.
"I'm tired, but I still have many things to do. If I could prolong my life, I probably wouldn't be as tired as I

She attributed her problem to her life being too short. Thinking she could do more things if she had a
longer lifespan, she longed for immortality.
"Come on," Dominic suddenly said.
Yasmin was puzzled.
"Don't you think you're overthinking the problem?" he asked. "There's an endless list of things for us to
do. How long do you plan to work?"
Yasmin thought, 'As long as I possibly can!'
She looked away, thinking that as a commoner, Dominic would not understand why she felt so strongly
about this. "There are many people who need me, and I don't think you understand that."
"Well, I don't. Why must anyone overwork themselves? What's the point?"
Dominic thought, 'Many people push themselves to achieve materialistic goals nowadays. Yes, we
need to ensure our livelihood, but what about other things in life? We should learn to let go. When we
do, we'll realize that our lives won't be affected all that much. If we push ourselves too hard, we'll only

Yasmin let out a sigh. "If I don't push myself, things will go wrong, and many people will be affected."
She looked at Dominic. "Let's say that many people will die if you don't treat them. Will you be able to
let go?"
“I absolutely can."
To her surprise, he answered without hesitation.
Yasmin shook her head gently.
Sensing her disbelief, Dominic explained, "Hey, even though people call me a miracle doctor, do you
think I was always able to save my patients?
"I'm not God, all right? I can't save everyone."
