"Klea!"
They said, before hugging the young girl, who had finally opened her eyes. She was shocked before she hugged them, with tears flowing through her eyes.
It took them a few seconds to calm themselves before they turned to me.
"Thank you, Carlos, for saving her. Without you, she wouldn't have survived," he said. It seemed like, she had told them about how I had found her.
I smiled at that before my expressions turned serious.
"I should keep her with me, till the threat of Grimms disappears," I said, and hesitation appeared on their faces.
"No, I don't want to leave you again!" said the girl, hugging her brother. He is her brother; I had just tested them for that, and the result came out positive.
Ven looked at his girlfriend, and she sighed.
"I think it would be wise to listen to Carlos; there are going to be Sky Sovereigns. We cannot protect her," said Sarena. He nodded and turned to the young girl.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"There are dangers here, that could kill you, me, and Sarena. It will be hard for us to protect you while fighting against them," he said, touching the cheeks of the young girl gently.
"I want to be with you," said the young girl softly in a barely audible voice.
"You will be. We will not let Carlos out of our sight," he said, looking at me. "Fine," she said finally, after a moment of silence.
I tapped on her shoulder, and she disappeared.
"Thank you," said Ven.
"Don't worry about it," I replied and flew ahead, with them flying beside me. They are not going to let me out of their sight; I don't mind. If I had been in their places, I would have chained myself to them.
"We met a Sky Sovereign earlier; he said, there are Grimms by the gate," said Sarena and I nodded.
It isn't surprising; they have got control over the one gate. There is a good chance, they are controlling the other gates too. They are the only place, through which one could leave the place.
People need to go to them to leave the ruin, which makes the ideal place for the Grimms to control.
We will need to defeat the Grimms to reach the other side. I don't know if that would be possible. It all depends upon the number of the Grimm around the gate and their strength.
Our numbers have grown, and both Sky Sovereigns and Earth Sovereigns are joining us every minute.
I hope we get enough numbers to fight against the Grimms.
I am sending the waves in all directions, but the gate is far; I would need to be closer to it.
"Do you have the resources that we traded last time?" asked Ven and the eyes of his girlfriend lit up; it seemed like he had told her about them.
"Why? Planning to make a breakthrough?" I asked back, and he sighed before nodding. "Yes, I have them and more, but this time, you will need to bring out something good. Last time, I sold them too cheaply to you," I added.
Their eyes lit up, and a smile appeared on their faces.
"Don't worry, we have more than enough things of equal value to trade," he said. "Good, we will trade, after we deal with this Grimm problem," I replied.
I am quite excited. Last time, I had got good things from him. Though, the thing, that helped me the most was the information about the satellite. It is based on that information; I created that satellite.
An hour and a half passed; we got close to the gate. In a few minutes, I will get close enough that my soul waves will reach the gate.
I couldn't help, but feel a little nervous. Our numbers have increased a lot, but there are too many of them. We will need to retreat; I don't want that. I don't want to get out of this ruin as soon as possible.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmCurrently, it has stabilized the damage that had been done to it, but more could be done, and it won't be able to bear it.
I don't want to be here when that happens.
Seven minutes passed and my soul sense had finally reached the gate. What I saw had turned my mood somber, and I quickly made the calculations.
There are a lot of Grimms, with two Peak Sky Sovereigns as their leaders. It won't be an easy battle, but we will need to fight; waiting is an option, but it could make things even more dangerous.
The Grimms in the runes could gather in the gates; it would make it nearly impossible for us to get out, given their numbers.
'What do you all think?' I asked for a few minutes later to all the Sky Sovereigns. 'It is too dangerous,' came the first reply from a middle-aged dwarf man with a thick bushy tail.
'If we didn't attack, more Grimms will gather. Have you seen the number of Grimms in the ruin? If even a small percentage of them have gathered, it will make the escape impossible,' replied the half immediately, stating the concern I am feeling.
'I think we should wait for the rescue,' said the stone-skin man.
'Or death. I had an artifact, that showed me the state of the ruin. It is in a precarious state; it would be wise for us to get out when it is still time,' said the Beastwoman.
'It will be death. There are two freaking Peak Sovereigns there!' shouted another Beastman.
I remained quiet while they argued. It became quite intense before they calmed down.
'What do you think?' the question came at me finally. 'As long as I have enough numbers with me, I am going to attack. Staying in the ruin is too dangerous,' I replied.
'What about the Peak Sky-Sovereigns?' asked an elf. 'You all don't have to worry about them, I am confident that I will be able to deal with them,' I replied, and relief appeared in their eyes.
