Chapter 1275 Mooching Rights
"Let’s eat first and talk later,” Hannah suggested. She'd wanted to talk to Jenny about
Felicity's situation. But then, Jenny didn’t know what she was thinking. Seeing that she
seemed reluctant to talk about it, Jenny didn't ask too much and just comforted David and
asked him to take it easy.
After lunch at David’s house, they first went to pay respects to Jenny’s grandfather. David
and Hannah didn't follow, saying they would stay home to prepare dinner.
At the graveyard, Jenny cleared Horace's grave of the weeds surrounding it and laid down
some fresh flowers. Then, she introduced Alec to him.
"Grandpa, I know you must have been watching me from heaven all these years, and now
I've brought someone over. Don't worry-he'll take good care of me from now on."
"Hello, Grandpa, I'm Alec, and I'll take care of Jenny from now on. You can rest assured,"
Alec also spoke up. Jenny talked to her grandfather's tombstone for a while more before
they left.

The air in Orchid Village was fresh, and Old Mr. Faust liked it very much there. After leaving
the graveyard, he didn't go back with Jenny and Alec but had Warren push him around so
that he could take a look around. He couldn't remember how long it had been since he last
came out, so he didn't want to miss this opportunity. Jenny and Alec didn't dissuade him
and understood that it was good for him to see more in his current situation.
They returned to David's house, but they hadn't even entered yet when they heard an
argument taking place inside.
"David, are you even human? Felicity is your daughter! Are you going to watch her suffer
for the rest of her life?” There came Hannah's voice. David didn't speak but just kept
smoking.
"Jenny is so rich. What's it to her if she gives us a little money? Worse comes to worst, we
can borrow from her, and when we have money, we can pay her back," Hannah continued.
David sighed and finally spoke, "Jenny doesn't owe us anything. Why should she lend us
money?" Moreover, even if they said they were borrowing the money from her, how would
they repay her? In actuality, they would be taking her money and giving her nothing in
return.
"You're her uncle. Can't she lend you a little money?" Hannah felt that David was hopeless.
If it were someone else, Hannah would have attached herself to them and leeched off
their riches. But look at them now. They were still staying in this rundown village and
hadn't managed to get anything from Jenny. Hannah felt they had every right to mooch off
a rich relative like Jenny.
David was frustrated and felt that his wife was beyond reason. "Jenny is rich, but it's not
like she didn't have to work for it. I won't ask her for money! As for Felicity, I'll figure
something out."
Unfortunately, his words didn't calm Hannah down. On the contrary, she went over and hit
him twice in anger while scolding, "You'll figure something out? What can you think of? You
work in the field all day and only manage to live from hand to mouth. Listen carefully, you
have to borrow money from them, or we won't be able to get by!"

Jenny and Alec had long been hiding at one side. Upon seeing Hannah leave, they took
their time and didn’t rush in.
"No wonder Hannah was so friendly today. I knew it! She had an ulterior motive," Jenny
thought. She sighed helplessly and didn't know what to say.
From the fight David and Hannah just had, something must have happened on Felicity's
side.
But didn't she get married? Why did she still need to borrow money?
"Don't think too much about it. You should ask Uncle David about it personally later," Alec
suggested, afraid that Jenny was too concerned about them.
Jenny nodded. Even if Alec didn't say anything about it, she would still ask David so that
she could make heads or tails of the situation.
Actually, she wasn't unwilling to give money to David, but she knew that the money would
ultimately end up in the hands of Felicity and Hannah, and they would just spend all that
money given to them carelessly. Jenny didn’t want the mother and daughter to develop a
habit of asking her for money, so she never gave in.
However, if they were really in a pinch, she wouldn't sit back and do nothing.
