Chapter 1144 Do I Get A Choice
She no longer turned the pages of the book she was reading. She merely stared at him as
if she just couldn't get enough of him.
Her gaze was scorching. Even Alec, who was preoccupied with work, could feel it.
However, he said nothing and pretended not to notice. He kept on working, albeit a little
distracted.
While preoccupied, Jenny had gone up to his desk. She knocked on his table. "You're
daydreaming."
Alec looked at her. Right now, Jenny looked mesmerizing. "Your gaze was distracting me."
"Are you done with work?" she asked.
"I'm fine," he replied.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtJenny smiled. "Fine?"
"Well, if you're planning on doing something afterward, I'm done with work. But if you're
not planning on doing anything, I'll just keep on working." Alec's words were straight to
the point. His actions proved to be even more so.
Instantly, Jenny was pulled into his arms. "Which one are you choosing?" he asked.
She leaned against his solid chest, hearing his heartbeat. She blushed. "Do
I have a choice?"
She was already in his arms. He was merely teasing her with the illusion of choice.
Alec kissed her lips fiercely and passionately. Jenny responded in kind. She was picturing
this while staring at him from the couch earlier.
Their kiss grew deeper, and soon, they began losing their clothes. Everything else that
happened afterward was on natural instinct.
Jenny fell asleep on the plane. When she woke up, the plane was already beginning its
descent.
"Are you awake?" Alec closed shut the document in his hands. "We're about to touch
down."
"Didn't you sleep?"
Alec leaned in toward her and said softly, "I wasn't tired."
Jenny rolled her eyes and scolded him for being a pervert. He didn't mind." Why should I
be all proper around you?"
"I can't be bothered with you." Jenny placed her attention elsewhere. For whatever reason,
her ears had turned red.
Alec didn't tease her anymore. He turned solemn. "Once we've seen my grandfather, I'll
take you to Orchid Village."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmTheir trips back home would only grow less frequent. Alec wanted to take Jenny to her
hometown.
Jenny was stunned. She hadn't even considered it. "Okay."
The people she knew in Orchid Village had basically all gone, but she still wanted to go
there. She'd be able to pay her respects to her grandfather, too.
"Is Grandpa really not planning to stay with us in Bardoff City?" Jenny was worried. Old Mr.
Faust wasn't in good condition.
Alec sighed. "I've tried talking some sense into him, but he isn't willing to move." Alec
could actually understand him somewhat. After all, Old Mr. Faust had lived his entire life in
Parrington. That was his home. It was only natural that he wouldn't want to leave.
Besides, he was growing weaker. Perhaps he was afraid of dying in a city that did not raise
him.
