Chapter 4101

’Oliver!"

A soldier could not hold his anger back, so he shouted at Oliver. ’ Backstabbed You begged Grunt for an alliance, and look

how fast you've changed sides. It's more than clear which side you have chosen!"

"Exactly. There's no trusting a demon."

"Going back on your word? F*ck, how despicable."

The soldiers knew that Oliver and Grunt had allied, and a deal was a deal. How could he go back on it so easily? They did

not know that Oliver was playing along with Grunt.

Oliver's expression grew complicated at the jeers, panicking a little.

Crap! Grunt's soldiers had exposed his alliance with Oliver. How would they keep pretending?

That was not good!

At the same time, Grunt grew anxious as well. He had been so caught up in his act that he had forgotten entirely about his

soldiers.

Over at the cave entrance, Darryl began to ponder the situation.

Oliver and Grunt had formed an alliance?

That made sense. Grunt would only have been able to follow them because Oliver had

tipped him off. After all, the cave was well hidden, and only the Demon Warrior tribe's

senior members knew about it.

If Oliver had tipped Grunt off, the conversation between them had to be an act for sure.

Darryl had plenty of experience up his sleeve and could see through the lies before him

quickly enough.

He quickly turned to Leia. "Lady Leia, beware of Oliver."

Beware of Oliver?

Leia frowned slightly. "Why?" she blurted out.

Leia was a bright girl, but she had not seen as much of the world as Darryl had. Of course,

she would not have been able to see through the act.

Darryl watched her confusion with an expression of bemusement, whispering, "Since they

are allies, they must be acting right now. Also, I think the only way Grunt was able to find

this place was because Oliver had tipped him off."

Leia's expression shifted instantly. She lost it, yelling at Oliver, "How dare you lie to me,

Oliver!"

Oliver grew even more panicked at Leia's accusations, denying them at once. "I have

feelings for you, Leia! Why would I ever lie to you? Don't be silly."

Leia was livid. "You aren't lying? What's this alliance with Grunt, then? Also, no one outside

of the Demon Warrior tribe would know of this place, so how did Grunt find US here? Did

you tip him off?"

Oliver's eyes flashed as his mind worked furiously to come up with an excuse. "I did

consider allying with him, but only because I thought the Demon Warriors retreating from

the fiends' attack would be seen as a sign of weakness and cowardice. The only reason I

asked Grunt to form an alliance was to fight against the fiends together. I promise I never

told him anything about you and Darryl's whereabouts.

"I promise it's all true, I swear.’

Leia seemed half-convinced, falling silent.

'Silly girl, indeed.'

Darryl was speechless. Leia was still too young, falling for Oliver's lies so easily.

’Oliver."

Grunt had an unreadable expression on his face as he called out to Oliver. Since the alliance had been exposed, he might

as well play off of it.

As he spoke, Grunt continuously gave Oliver significant looks.

Oliver picked up on them quickly enough, putting on a determined expression as he said, "That's right, I did ally with you.

But you captured the woman I love, and I can't stand for that. The alliance is over."

"Very well."

Grunt smirked. "I guess I thought too highly of you. Anyway, do you think you can beat me with just a few thousand men?"

Oliver did not spare another second before he sent a wave of energy that burst from his body. He roared, "Bring it on!" He

raised his hand, prepared to order the Black Tortoise warriors around him to attack.

The thousands of Black Tortoise warriors channeled their auras, constricting through the atmosphere in the cave.
