Aion landed at the top of one of the Mansions of the city and began to think. Just killing all the guards and soldiers won't help him this time since the enemy wanted that for some reason… the question was, why?
"Father was probably worried because of that… if I killed everyone, it would make rumors about me," Aion thought while watching the soldiers moving around and trying to get weapons to attack him. "The bad rumors will affect not only me, my family, and mother… it will also affect the whole Kingdom. Due to the relics, a lot of people will already hate me naturally, and that will be the same as putting oil on the fire. Is that their goal?"
Aion considered what might happen afterward. Rumors about him will spread across the world, and some people will think that he was truly a monster created by the Mirellis kingdom, and the Zaera kingdom wanted to make use of that monster for their nefarious plans. In the worst-case scenario, the Zaera kingdom will be attacked by many nations. Even if they win such a war, a lot of people will die, and Aion, his family, and his mother will be blamed for it. Increasing their hate and fear for him.
"Is that their end goal?" Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "If it is, the true ruler of this country is insane, or their conspirator that lives in the future promised them something way beyond riches… after gaining so much already, they would believe in their words easily."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtTo really solve the problem, Aion will have to go to the future…but he can't until all the enemies in the present situation are dealt with, and he heals his sisters completely.
Although Aion had a good idea of the real scope of the situation, he still didn't know how to solve the first part of it. Finding the lords will be hard enough already… after thinking for a while, Aion took the relics from his inventory and put them together.
The relics were glowing, as expected. They probably were signaling that there was something in the city that was connected to time Magic, but that wasn't enough. Aion made them touch each other, and then they glowed even more and then pointed to two points in the city with a beam of light… one of them was a mansion not too far away, and another was behind him, toward the Northern gate of the city.
"I think I have found you, asshole…" Aion smirked and then began to fly to the gate.
It didn't take long for Aion to see a shabby-looking carriage crossing the gate… it was a good disguise. Still, the fact that the army of zombie soldiers opened their path for that to cross was.
As if they had noticed their approach, the zombie soldiers assumed the phalanx formation while protecting the carriage. Still, Aion just shrugged and sent a cold wave of magic that froze all of the nearby soldiers, and then he landed on it.
"Found ya," Aion said while smirking.
Aion quickly covered the area with a thick ice wall to make sure that no one would get in his way and the target wouldn't escape. Still, a single person left the carriage while carrying a dark purple sword and pointing at him. It was a thin, tall man who seemed to be in his forties. He sure looked nervous since he looked white as a ghost…
"You don't have the stance of summoned who trained for years. You will get yourself hurt if you point that at me… not like I care," Aion said when he confirmed that there was no one else inside the carriage. "Since you are going to die here."
It seemed that the man didn't have a family, so Aion could kill without worrying too much about anything. It was annoying to hold the moral high ground against assholes. Still, he couldn't just go down to the level of his enemies that often and easily.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAion took a step forward and then opened his eyes widely when the enemy suddenly moved his sword a little, and then a large cut appeared on Aion's chest. He didn't even see the attack, and yet… the damage had been that fearsome.
"It seems that you have some skills… or is that the power of the sword?" Aion asked when he healed himself.
Although Aion looked unfazed, the target smiled… until now, he didn't have any confidence in winning against Aion. Still, now things had changed since he could tell that his sword was highly effective against him for some reason.
The man moved his sword again, and Aion moved his head to the side. A large wound appeared from his chest to his neck… he quickly healed himself again since that class had low health. Still, something was off. The damage caused by such a powerful sword was supposed to be way higher, considering that Aion only had twenty points of health.
"That is a nice sword that you have there…" Aion said while smiling.
The target felt shivers and began to swing the sword wildly. The wounds began to pile up, but Aion could tell when his head would be targeted thanks to his instincts, so he avoided critical damage. One didn't have to be a genius to realize that the swings of the enemy gave shape to the next wound caused.
Aion ignored those until the enemy took a step backward and readied a thrust attack… that would be bad, so he froze everything around, even the target's legs.
"Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!" The man squeaked like a little animal when he lost the feeling of his legs instantly, and the ice there began to break.
In the meantime, Aion could only smirk… unfortunately, he couldn't enjoy that situation for long since the ice wall was being attacked by hundreds of soldiers and was quickly falling apart. He had to hurry things up…
