The temple was dilapidated. Years of neglect left the temple in tatters, anyone who'd want to repair it was hindered by the remote

According to sof the ancient books our sect keeps, the temple is called the Holy Spirit Divine Temple. This was where the Holy

Spirit Immortal taught the rules of nature many years ago in the past,"

one of the superior elders stepped forward to explain.

"The Holy Spirit Immortal? Who's that? A god?"

Austin's face crumpled into pure confusion.

"Yes. Legend says that the Holy Spirit Immortal was a divine god who resided within Mount Emerald during ancient times.

It's said that Emperor Haidar once went up Mount Emerald to pay a visit to the Holy Spirit Immortal and asked for advice on the

cultivation of martial arts. The Holy Spirit Immortal tested Emperor Haidar and found him an honest and pious person. So the Holy

Spirit Immortal taught him excellent skills and the rules of nature.

It could be said that the Holy Spirit Immortal was one of Emperor Haidar's teachers.

another elder added.

Austin's eyes went wide with astonishment.

In the eyes of the ordinary people within the Brilliant Kingdom, Emperor Haidar was just a character from legends. But Austin knew

the words of a holy scripture. Numerous golden lotus flowers fell from the ceiling and barely visible images of various creatures

bowed in front of the person while giving his chanting their full attention.

The figure towered over them with several meters height while his body was covered with long hair from his head down to his feet,

each strand several inches long. A shining jade plate served as his seat. It was like he made both heaven and earth shake with his

deafening chanting that echoed far and wide.

"Is that the scripture of the divine god? That's... unbelievable!"

A pleasantly surprised expression crossed Austin's face before he focused on listening to it carefully.

It didn't take long before his brows anxiously pulled together as he couldn't hear the scripture no matter how carefully he listened.

Although the chant resonated, it was like trying to grasp sand that constantly slipped through his fingers and he could only catch a

few words.

No matter how hard he tried, he was unable to catch a complete sentence.

Even when it seemed impossible, Austin was unwilling to give up and focused his spiritual sense and flooded the temple's interior.

His efforts must give him ssort of result.

Bang! A deafening noise made the whole place shake.

A horrible force quickly darted out from within the temple and slammed against Austin's spiritual sense, hard enough to make him

flinch from the force.

Bang! Another noise rang out.

Austin was so surprised that he lost his balance and was sent flying backwards, slamming hard on the ground. Acute pain coursed

throughout his body and left him gasping.

"That power is terrifying. It's definitely energy that belongs to a divine god!"

A shell-shocked Austin could only groan.

At the stime, the shabby temple glowed with a dazzling light.

Boom!

The sound of suprrule of enlightenment rang out from within the temple without pause. A dazzling divine light shone from the

temple's interior. A stone statue was in the center of the shining light and looked too sacred to look at, much less to touch.

"Look, the divine temple is glowing again!"

"According to the records of ancient books, the divine temple glowing implies the return of the gods!"

"The temple glowed a few months ago! | didn't expect it to happen again!"

Everything that transpired was so shocking that it caused a huge stir within the Emerald Sect. Crowds of people rushed over to

take a look and could only stare in shock at the shabby temple shrouded in a brilliant glow.

"Hey, young man, are you okay?"

The three superior elders looked at Austin in surprise and suspicion but carefully looked over his injuries.

They hoped that he'd be grievously injured by the impact of the temple's force, so they could send him away as soon as possible.

"I'm fine."

Austin jumped to his feet and dusted himself off as if nothing happened. In fact, he wasn't hurt at all.

Despite his lack of injuries, his heart trembled in fear within his chest. The level of power that erupted from the temple was

definitely of divine level.

Even at his best he'd be unable to put up a fight against that force. Much less when he had his cultivation base greatly suppressed

and he could only squeeze out a small portion of his strength.

"Had this temple glowed before? What do you mean the gods will return?"

Austin blinked up curious wide eyes at the three superior elders.

According to the records of sancient books, these divine temples were left behind by the divine gods and were where they

preached during ancient times.

These divine temples are said to be the very foundation of the great sects.

For thousands of years, however, not a single sign of an oracle manifested in these temples and nothing miraculous ever

happened. We can't see how magical all these temples are.

Therefore, almost all the major sects gradually began to ignore these divine temples and stopped maintaining them. All the divine

temples decayed and eventually becdilapidated.

A few months ago, however, the divine temples all glowed at the stand the radiance of divine light burst forth. The

statues in the divine temples already collapsed and scattered all over the ground. To everyone's surprise, they were all restored
