"I was only a common outer disciple of the FlHoly Land.

One day, | went out with several other outer disciples to improve ourselves through trials.

Before we finished our cultivation outside, we heard that something happened to our headquarters. Because of that, we cback

hurriedly.

But when we arrived there, we found that our headquarters was gone.

Instead, an endless red desert replaced it.

We looked everywhere in the desert but we did not find our companions and superiors.

Later, one of our sect elders appeared right in front of us. He was badly injured and dying.

Before he died, he entrusted us with the ultimate magical treasure of our sect and asked us to rebuild our sect," Elder Brendan

recalled.

He walked up to the dead bodies as he stared at them.

As he saw the rest of his companions, he looked lonely.

It was only then that Austin and Earth Hermit knew of the elder's true identity.

'It turns out that Elder Brendan was just a common outer disciple of the FlHoly Land.

| bet Elder Leder and Elder Damian were those who went out for the trials with him, ' Austin and Earth Hermit thought.

The three of them continued moving. Elder Brendan took the lead, while Austin and Earth Hermit followed behind him.

Since Elder Brendan used to cultivate here as a disciple of the FlHoly Land, he knew this place very well.

As they kept walking forward, they ran into countless corpses on the ground.

The corpses did not rot at all. It looked as if they were only asleep.

After passing through several mountains without taking a break, the three of them cto a scenic place.

The mist made of thick spiritual energy enveloped the entire area. There were falls, streams, and plenty of splendid palaces there.

Both Austin and Earth Hermit were stunned and enthralled by the breath-taking scenery. They felt like they were in a wonderland.

"This is the center of our headquarters.

Only the senior members and principal disciples had access to this place,"

Elder Brendan said as he gestured to introduce the place.

After appreciating the view, he then led Austin and Earth Hermit to another location.

"This is the Sacred Cliff," Elder Brendan continued.

Austin and Earth Hermit glanced around. There were numerous rare flowers and herbs, as well as grand buildings. Visible spiritual

energy flowed in the air, making the place look mysterious.

A towering cliff lay in front of the three of them. It stood so tall that they were not able to see the top of it. The massive waterfall,

which was about a thousand meters long, was hanging from the mountain like a milky curtain. It was truly a spectacular view.

Austin could clearly feel that the spiritual energy was a dozen times denser and richer here than in the outside world. Even though

he just stood still without doing anything, his body could still absorbed the spiritual energy automatically.

The two of them were fascinated by the natural landscape.

Out of the blue, nine dragon shadows in the distance flew towards their direction and disappeared right into the beautiful cliff.

"Those are the nine natural vessels of dragon energy,"

Earth Hermit exclaimed in excitement as he spotted the dragon shadows.

It was shocking that the nine natural vessels of dragon energy showed up here.

A spot on the cliff lit up brilliantly, illuminating the whole space.

The next minute, a carving appeared out of thin air from the spot where the dazzling light cfrom.

The picture bore an image of an elder who was dressed like a Taoist. He held a simple box in his hand.

The image made the carving look so vivid.

The elder in the picture stood straight, exuding a solemn air.

"He was our holy lord. Oh my god! The jade box in his hand is the FlScripture!"

Elder Brendan said emotionally as he trembled violently.

He knelt down and groveled towards the carving several times.

Elder Brendan used to be just a common outer disciple of the FlHoly Land, so he did not have the chance to meet superiors of

his sect frequently. He couldn't hold back his sheer happiness at the sight of the picture in the carving.

"I heard that our holy lord did not personally hand over the FlScripture to the principal disciples. Instead, he left a carving here

to let them retrieve it.

Only those talented principal disciples who got profound insight to the carving could cultivate the FlScripture.

| did not expect that | will be able to see this carving again.

Does this mean that we will have the chance to learn our ancient scripture—FlScripture?"

Elder Brendan blurted continuously with intense thrill as he gazed at the carving on the cliff.

"Austin, go ask everyone to be here. We need to stay here to study the carving and see if any of us can luckily have sharvest,"

Elder Brendan ordered Austin.

He could not contain the excitement to share the good news with the rest of them.

Austin got out of the well and took the other members of the FlHoly Land to the Sacred Cliff.

"Sit down and study the carving that our holy lord left to us."

Elder Brendan gave the order as soon as they arrived.

He and two other elders, with four stewards and more than three hundred disciples, sat cross-legged in front of the cliff and stared

at the carving on it.

Austin also studied it carefully too.

"You guys focus on your business. I'll just take a tour around," Earth Hermit said.

He immediately took out his old compass and dashed forward.

He was keen on adventures. Now that he was in the former headquarters of the well-known FlHoly Land, which had

disappeared for a thousand and five hundred years, he planned to explore this mysterious place as much as he could.

Elder Brendan did not even bother to stop him.

If it weren't for Earth Hermit, they wouldn't have been able to find the former headquarters of the FlHoly Land.

Moreover, he had saved the lives of more than three hundred members of the FlHoly Land. Technically speaking, he was their

hero and savior.

Cross-legged on the ground, Austin unleashed his spiritual sense to perceive the elder and his box in the carving.

Tticked by as all of them continued to explore.

Whether cultivators could master the ancient scripture depended on their spiritual soul power and their talent in martial arts.

It had nothing to do with their cultivation base.

Cultivators needed to spend a lot of tcultivating in order to improve themselves and reach higher realms.

The talent in martial arts could not be easily acquired even if they worked very hard.

For five consecutive days, Austin had been working on the carving really hard. Much to his disappointment, he didn't get anywhere.

Neither did the three elders, nor the stewards and other disciples.

"Con guys, we can do this!

The chance of getting back the FlScripture solely depends on us.

We must hurry up! If the carving disappears, we might lose our ancient scripture forever,"

Elder Brendan encouraged them as they were about to lose hope.

Hearing what their elder said, the rest of them pulled themselves together and continued studying the carving.

On the tenth day, something happened to Austin.

A soft power cat him. He was a little taken aback from the sudden soft blow.

'What's happening?’ Austin wondered.

He took a closer look at the carving to seek for answers. He was surprised when he saw the elder dressed like a Taoist in the

picture flash him an amiable smile.

The cover was removed from the box. Suddenly, a beam of light cout of it and flew towards Austin's head.
