Tpassed rather quickly while Austin was cultivating.

He sat with his legs crossed within the Vital Energy Refining Palace, resembling an old monk that got into meditation.

One day, two days, three days, four days...

The vital energy contained in the palace was too rich and violent. Many cracks littered the ground, streams of spiritual energy from

the natural vessel of energy underground wafting out of them and coating the air.

Austin was completely submerged in the thick spiritual energy fog as the tof cultivation passed.

With a faint, rumbling sound, golden streams of vital energy surged within his body.

Two had months passed since then.

All of a sudden, BOOM!

A powerful wave of vital energy force rushed out of Austin's body.

He had reached the medium stage of Semi-emperor Realm!

He slowly opened his eyes, which were twinkling brilliantly in his excitement.

"He has broken through again!"

At the sudden exclamation, the four other elder disciples who were cultivating opened their eyes and turned to look at Austin with

astonished expressions. Did they hear that right? Austin had managed to break through again?

"Excuse me, everyone," said Austin, standing up.

"I've got to leave now."

The four other men were even more surprised at the sudden declaration. They could only sit in place and watch in shock as Austin

walked out of the palace without another word.

Having just made a breakthrough, Austin had no intention of further cultivation.

Frequent breakthroughs could easily weaken the foundation of cultivation, after all, so they weren't necessarily good or sought

after.

To better solidify his cultivation base, Austin decided he had to practice more before going through another breakthrough instead.

It didn't take long before he made it to his destination.

From afar, he could see a lovely figure standing and waiting for him. The figure was none other than Caroline, who smiled widely

and waved once she caught sight of Austin.

She looked visibly excited and eager to share sgood news, and as he approached, it didn't take much longer for Austin to

learn of the pleasant surprise — Caroline had already reached the preliminary stage of Semi-emperor Realm!

"I've taken the remaining two Green Evil Pills over the last two months," Caroline said excitedly.

"It worked! I've reached the preliminary stage of Semi-emperor Realm!"

A wide grin adorned her beautiful face as she spoke.

"The truth is, every single person of the evil shadow race has a body well-suited to cultivation. Our cultivation speeds are usually

much faster than you humans.

However, the energy we need for cultivation is not enough and the laws of heaven and earth are somehow incomplete in the Prime

Martial World," she explained.

"When | cto the Divine Continent, though, | found it much easier to cultivate,"

she added, a somewhat thoughtful expression on her face.

Austin nodded his head at her words.

Just like Caroline said, all kinds of energy were relatively scarce in the PrMartial World.

It was not just vital energy; the evil energy she needed was rather scarce as well.

In comparison, there were vast amounts of all different kinds of energy in the Divine Continent.

"Oh, by the way," said Caroline as she remembered something, "someone clooking for you in the last two months when you

were gone."

Compared to how excited she sounded just a few moments ago, her tone suddenly turned a little unhappy, making Austin blink in

confusion.

"Huh? Someone clooking for me? Who was it?"

he asked. He couldn't possibly think of anyone who would search for him while he was gone.

For sreason, his response only seemed to infuriate Caroline further. "Just see for yourself!"

she huffed, shooting Austin an angry look before waving her hand.

Immediately, a figure of a woman formed by Caroline's spiritual sense force energy appeared right in front of Austin.

It was Zoe!

Immediately, Austin understood.

He turned to meet Caroline's angry gaze, a bitter smile on his face as he tried to explain.

"Caroline, | met this girl when | went to the Wild Herb Valley to find herbs. We have nothing more than an ordinary relationship,"

he said.

"You don't need to tell me!"

snapped Caroline, giving Austin an annoyed glance.

Not knowing what else to say to her, Austin could only smile awkwardly.

A moment later, both Austin and Caroline turned to look at the distance at the stime.

From where they stood, they could see a figure rushing towards the edge of the hill.

The pair didn't have to wait long to find out who it was. In the blink of an eye, the figure arrived in front of them, and Austin's eyes

widened in surprise.

"Rahul!"

he exclaimed. He had not expected to see Rahul at all, so this was truly a pleasant surprise.

"Ha-ha, hey there, Austin. Your house is pretty elegant and quiet,"

said Rahul, greeting him with a smile.

"Thanks!" replied Austin, laughing as well. He turned to Caroline, who was waiting expectantly and curiously, and gestured towards

the newcomer.

"Caroline, this is Rahul. He led the team to the Wild Herb Valley to gather the herbs we needed for cultivation.

Rahul, this is my friend, Caroline,"

said Austin, gesturing towards the female this time.

"Oh! It's nice to meet you, Rahul."

Having gotten introductions out of the way, Caroline turned her gaze towards Rahul now, greeting him with a friendly smile.

Too beautiful!

Stunned by Caroline's sheer beauty, Rahul forgot to reply, only managing to stare at her in awe.

It took a moment before he snapped back to reality and nodded politely to Caroline. As beautiful as he found her, it was apparent

to him that she and Austin had a close relationship. Even he was aware of his limits, and he wasn't going to cross the line just like

that. Instead, he turned his attention to what he had chere for to begin with.

"Austin, | cto see you and to invite you to join us for a mission,"

Rahul said bluntly, getting straight to the point.

"Oh?" Austin raised an eyebrow at this. "Please, do tellmore,"

he said, curious about this mission.

"Elder Brendan has letarrange selite disciples who are under the Emperor Realm to go to the Shiny Sect in the Dawning

Kingdom together.

explained Rahul.

Needless to say, Austin's performance in the Wild Herb Valley last thad impressed Rahul.

That was why he immediately thought of Austin when Elder Brendan announced that he needed selite disciples who were

under the Emperor Realm.

Rahul was well aware that despite Austin's vital energy level being very low, his real fighting power was equal to that of a

cultivator at the medium stage of Emperor Realm.

"The Shiny Sect in the Dawning Kingdom?" Austin repeated. "So what exactly is the mission?"

Rahul might have said where the destination was, but he hadn't said exactly what the mission was supposed to be.

Back when the disciples of the FlHoly Land went into the Wild Herb Valley to collect herbs, they had pretended to be disciples

of the Shiny Sect in the Dawning Kingdom.

Because of that, Austin could only guess that there must be skind of relationship between the FlHoly Land and the Shiny

Sect.

Still, he could not make sense of why the Shiny Sect was the destination of the mission.

"I honestly don't know.

Elder Brendan said the details of the mission won't be made public before we set out,"

replied Rahul.

Austin was quiet as he thought this through. Finally, he nodded his head.

"Alright then. Rahul, please lettake part in this mission."

Just like that, he had made his decision.

Having just broken through to the medium stage of Semi-emperor Realm, Austin had already intended to go out and hone his skills

through fierce fighting. It was only natural that he didn't want to miss such a mission now.

Moreover, Elder Brendan had said that the mission might be dangerous. That could only mean that it was surely going to be very

challenging, and everyone who took part would get a good experience.
