Chapter 90 Lenard knew Nancy didn't want to dwell on the subject any longer, so he swiftly changed the topic. "It's not justteaming up with Potter. You're in on this, too." Nancy raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" "I've discussed it with Potter. We're bringing you into the fold! Nancy, wait till you finish the business conference, and then you can join us in the trenches." Lenard's voice turned serious as if recalling something, "Since you left that jerk, I haven't given you anything. Nancy, you truly are the queen of design in my eyes. I hope you shine like you're meant to." Caught off guard, Nancy paused before softly acknowledging, "I understand, Lenard. Thank you." While she was focused on promoting Hollywood A-listers, the project with Potter had the potential to flop. Still, it was definitely the quickest way to break into the international market.

"Nancy, we're family here. There's no need for formalities. You'll always be my kin, so don't thank me. I hate it," Lenard said with pride and affection, "I'm off to grab a bite with Potter. We'll talk later." With a hum, Nancy ended the call.

As she set down her phone, Judson approached, carrying a bowl of steaming chicken soup in a careful, almost childlike manner, and placed it before Nancy.

Hands behind his back, he looked like a kid who knew he'd done something wrong. "Nancy, did I upset you by taking matters into my hands?" Nancy responded curtly, "No." Judson visibly relaxed but then, as if remembering something else, tensely asked, "Was it because I disobeyed and went to see you that you're angry?" Nancy frowned, "Judson, do you even remember you're supposed to be convalescing?" A glimmer of realization crossed Judson's face. "So, you're worried about me?" "It doesn't matter. Judson, if you keep this up, I don't think you'll need to wait for your memory to return before you're out of here," Nancy retorted, annoyed.

Judson's expression fell instantly. He knelt before Nancy, wrapping his arms around her. "Nancy, I don't want to leave you. I realize my mistake. I won't go behind your back again!" Enveloped in his embrace, Nancy could smell the faint scent of cologne on him.

"Let go of me," she demanded.

"I won't. Nancy, please don't pushaway," Judson pleaded, his voice breaking as he buried his head in her shoulder. "If you do, I might not make it." Nancy's resolve softened, "Why did you need to seeso badly?" "I knew Baldrick would be there. He likes you and wantsout of the picture," Judson admitted, his eyes tearing up as he lifted his head. "Nancy, I was scared you would leavebehind. Also, I fell trying to climb over the wall. Look, I bled," he said, rolling up his pant leg to show the dried bloodstain on his knee. Nancy's expression shifted. "Why didn't you say it sooner!" Judson shrank back, offering a pitiful look. "It's okay. It doesn't hurt. Don't be mad. I'll be good from now on. You're all I have." Upon seeing him in such a sorry state, Nancy's heart softened. After all, what was the point of arguing with someone so frail? With that thought, she fetched a first-aid kit from her drawer. "Chere, lettake care of that."

Judson sat beside her, allowing Nancy to clean his wound. His eyes were holding an unreadable depth. A NO minor injury seemed a small price for Nancy's care, and he thought it was worth it. Meanwhile, as dawn broke over Sunhaven,

"Cyrus!" When Hayley saw Cyrus stepping out of the precinct, shem hugged him tightly, her heart aching for him. He seemed thinner than she remembered, his face shadowed with stubble and dark circles, looking utterly worn.

Cyrus appeared dazed, holding Hayley as if he was seeing her forthe first tin ages Suddenly, he returned to reality and looked toward Caleb, standing by the car. "Caleb, have you heard any word on Nancy these past few days?"
