Chapter 1367
Upon hearing his wife’s words, Thaddeus bent over and picked up Lea. “Lea, come here. Daddy’s gonna teach you
how to fish.”
Lea, clutching her teddy bear, turned her face away in displeasure, giving her dad the cold shoulder. “I don’t wanna
play with you.”
After seeing his daughter’s reaction, Thaddeus squatted down, pretending to be heartbroken and saying, “Lea, why
don’t you want to play with Daddy? Did I do something to upset you?”
Lea gave out a loud humph. “Daddy is gonna bully people again. I’m not a fan of you anymore.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtLea was the daughter Thaddeus had later in life, and he cherished her immensely.
Thaddeus spoiled both his first daughter, Sophia, and his second daughter, Lea, striving to treat them equally.
But Sophia didn’t accept her stepmother, Bertha, or acknowledge Lea as her sister, telling everyone she was an
only child. Thaddeus didn’t make a big deal out of it because he felt guilty for having neglected Sophia in the past.
Fortunately, Bertha didn’t care about all this. She was more concerned about his attitude.
Thaddeus picked up Lea, speaking softly to the child as he tried to explain himself. “Lea, you’ve got it all wrong.
Daddy’s gonna punish the bad guys who bullied your sister, not innocent people.”
Lea never really liked Sophia and didn’t mind people who bullied her. After hearing her father’s explanation, she
pouted and then snuggled up to him without saying a word.
Thaddeus had sent people back home to investigate Theo’s girlfriend. This reminded Bertha of something, and she
asked, “Oh, by the way, Malloy, have you found the girl who donated blood to me?”
While cuddling Lea, Thaddeus replied, “No, not yet. The hospital’s blood donation records and surveillance footage
were all wiped clean. Our people can’t trace her. It’s strange; donating blood is a good deed, but that kind girl was
so cautious that she wiped all traces of herself.”
Bertha sighed a little. “Maybe she just wanted to do a good deed without leaving her name. I heard from a nurse
that she was pregnant when she donated blood to me, and she also found another donor. I’m really worried that
she might have hurt herself by donating blood. I wonder how she and her child are doing now.”
Thaddeus tried to comfort his wife. “Bertha, don’t worry. A girl as kind as her will be fine. I’ll keep sending people to
look for her. She’s our savior. That day we argued, and I upset you so much that you took Lea and left home. If that
girl hadn’t donated blood to save you in time, I would’ve regretted it all my life.”

come home today, so let’s have a nice family
dinner.”
Elsewhere, after hanging up Sophia’s call, Ellinor put her phone aside and focused on her breakfast.
Balfour overheard every word she’d just said on the phone.
Knowing Sophia’s background, Balfour was a bit worried. He asked, “Ellinor, what did Sophia say to you?”
Ellinor casually replied, “Nothing special, just some threats, claiming that she’s gonna fight me for Theo.”
Balfour frowned. “If she calls to harass you again, just ignore her. Let her deal with me if she actually wants to do
anything.”
