She did want Theo to come pick her up; only then would Chase stop bothering her.

Belinda huffed. She did want to eat, but so far, only the appetizers had been served.

Jacob replied with a goofy smile. “I took a leave! Since I told you about the meeting, I’ve been feeling anxious. I felt
guilty for making
you run a useless errand, and I couldn’t concentrate on the meeting in this state, so I just said I had something at
