The elevator doors slid shut, and the floor indicator flickered down to 1.
Ellinor came back to her senses, letting out a long sigh. She was just about to pull her front door shut.

“Mr. Blanchet asked me to stay here and protect you.”

“I’m perfectly safe at home; I don’t need protection. Get out!”
Collin shook his head, looking troubled. “I can’t Jeave; if I did, Mr. Blanchet would never let me live in peace!
Ellinor felt extremely irritated. “What on earth does he mean?”
“Mr. Blanchet cares about you! He’s worried because you don’t want to go home, so he asked me to stay and
watch over you.”
