Chapter 720: The Store Upgrading Quest(5)
The four families left on the list were the Gupta family, the Tor family, the Massood family, and the Harlaq family.
Neither of the families remaining on the list was in the top three merchant families since the First Store already had customers from those families.
In the list of four, the Gupta family and the Harlaq family had the same worth and were the richest of the four.
The Gupta family operated on the Vajji continent, the mightiest of the continents in Visteerna after Kashi. The Harlaq family, on the other hand, functioned in a cluster of universes under the control of Silver Vampires.
Aakesh still hasn’t had any member of the Silver Vampire in the store, so Aakesh had put the Harlaq family on the list.
Aakesh only had these two families predominantly on his mind since the Gupta family also belonged to the Guhyaka race.
Massood and the Tor family, on the other hand, belonged to the races that had entered the store. The race entering the store didn’t mean that the family members also had since the majority of the races in the Multiverse have more than two or three families in their midst.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtSince things were like this, Aakesh decided to go to one of the two families first. If he didn’t get what he wanted from the Guptas or the Harlaqs, he would go to Massoods and Tors. There was no issue with that.
Since Aakesh had made his decision, he didn’t wait and got ready to leave.
“Hey, system, I am ready for the quest,” Aakesh said out loud.
The next moment, white light surrounded Aakesh. It disappeared as quickly as it had come, and when it vanished, Aakesh’s cultivation regressed to intermediate Immortal equivalent.
[Host, Lily can’t interfere in the quest. She is only a watcher.]
The next moment, the system’s emotionless voice rang in the store. Lily, who was comfortably relaxing on Aakesh’s head after a round of ordeal with him, suddenly stood up and angrily hissed toward the roof of the store’s hall.
Lily then scoffed and returned to her previous position, muttering something which shouldn’t be said out loud.
Aakesh only smiled after seeing Lily’s antics. He raised his hands and rubbed Lily’s head.
Even if the system hadn’t told Aakesh, he would have never let Lily take action in the quest. He was aware of what Lily’s taking action meant in a mission solely reserved for the store owner.
“Lily, you decide which family should we go to first?” Aakesh suddenly brought Lily down and asked her.
Aakesh then told her about his choice of going to the Guptas or the Harlaqs first.
“Let’s go to the Guptas first since I have never seen a Guhyaka member,” Lily replied in her childlike voice after thinking for less than a moment.
Aakesh nodded after listening to Lily’s choice. Aakesh also had the same name in his mind. But his reason for doing it was different. The Guptas on the Vajji continent were closer in distance than the domain of the Harlaqs.
Since Aakesh was only an intermediate Immortal, for now, he couldn’t cover the same distance he could do in actuality.
The next moment, both Aakesh and Lily disappeared from the store. Soon, a wave of darkness engulfed the store, waiting for Aakesh’s arrival.
A transparent barrier had covered Lily as Aakesh was using the travel skill he had learned from Katrina on the Conspiracy continent.
After a few rounds of teleportation, Aakesh reached the Pocoso Empire. He stopped here since the Empire had the continental travel portal.
A crowd gathered in no time after seeing Aakesh standing in the queue to enter the city.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmNot everyone in the crowd knew of Aakesh. But when a group of six people started discussing about him, others who heard it also joined to see just who was this person with such an extraordinary identity.
“Don’t create disruption.” One of the guards rushed toward Aakesh after finding him to be the source of disruption in the queue to enter the city.
“Do you want to die?” The guard suddenly stopped at his feet as he heard a cold voice ringing in his ears.
Aakesh wasn’t the source of the voice, but the guard higher-up was. The next moment, the guard saw a shocking scene as the crown prince, destined to be the next Emperor of the Pocoso Empire, appeared at the gate and approached the man behind the disruption.
Aakesh had an expressionless face as he never expected him to cause such disruptions. The Anga continent had a population of countless people belonging to millions of races. And yet, Aakesh, who only had a few hundred million customers, came in contact with a group of people who were regular to his store.
“Store owner, what brings you here?” The crown prince created an opaque barrier around him and Aakesh. He then respectfully asked Aakesh.
“I need to travel to the Vajji continent,” Aakesh expressionlessly told the truth to the crown prince.
The crown prince couldn’t help but be surprised as he never expected Aakesh to use the continental travel portal of the Pocoso Empire when the store sold products like supreme cards.
“Since it’s your first time entering the Pocoso Empire, you can’t leave without witnessing how the Empire treats its honorable guests,” The crown prince pushed the doubt to the back of his mind since he didn’t want to offend Aakesh in any way. The prince then invited Aakesh.
George had a considerable role to play in stabilizing his role as the crown prince. George was the first to find the store, and he is also a member of the organization, Skylord, with his girlfriend being the deputy of the organization.
The worth of the organization Skylord was several times larger than the value of the Pocoso Empire since Skylord had top-ranked adventurers in their midst and was leagues above any other Panagea organization. While the Pocoso Empire wasn’t even the most fierce Empire on the Anga continent, let alone Visteerna or the Primal dimension.
The crown prince knew how much George and Evelyn respected the store owner, so offending the store owner was equivalent to humiliating them. It would result in enmity between him and George.
