His phone started to vibrate.
“Lucian, you need to get out of there, it’s supposed to rain tonight. The situation in the jungle could go
south real quick. Get out, and we’ll figure out a plan.”
Lucian didn’t stop; he just kept walking; his voice was urgent, “I have to find her! James, you said it
yourself, it’s going to rain, and the temperature in the jungle on Pearl Island drops drastically at night. If
she’s really trapped, she might not make it.”
“Carl’s already called the search and rescue team, they’ll be here soon.”
“Where’s Allison? Send me her location”
“I can’t find her, her phone seems to be out of service.”
Lucian’s face changed; he clenched his jaw, ready to hang up; James rushed to say. “Be careful, and
stay in touch.”

“What? Allison still hasn’t come out!” Jason grabbed his backpack, ready to dash into the jungle right
away.
*Jason! It’s dangerous, don’t go in.” Lily immediately tried to stop him, “The search and rescue team is
already in there, let’s get back, the waves will get bigger later, and the yacht won’t be able to operate!”
“No, I have to go!” Jason pushed Lily away, took a few steps forward, and Carl followed, wiping his
sweat. Mr Lindberg had already gone in. If Jason rushed in too, and something happened, as the
person in charge of this project, he wouldn’t be able to handle it.
