Chapter 87 Zeus's Gift, Shen Long's Challange
Behind Shen Long, black lightning crackled, and Long Tian emerged, clad in armor adorned with intricate black lightning motifs, carrying the Blade of Olympus.
With precision, he thrust the blade directly at Shen Long's neck.
Stab!
The thrust unleashed a burst of black lightning, piercing Shen Long's resilient skin and eliciting a pained roar. Shen Long writhed violently, but Long Tian continued to drive the blade deeper, relentlessly pushing it into Shen Long's flesh until it reached the hilt.
Aware that a mere stab wouldn't suffice, Long Tian maintained a tight grip on the hilt and proceeded to slice through Shen Long's flesh.
Slash!
With lightning speed, he carved a path along Shen Long's skin for dozens of meters, causing a river of golden blood to flow from the wound.
"RAAAAAAAARGH!" Shen Long's agonized roar reverberated, momentarily immobilizing Long Tian. However, thanks to his immortal form, he swiftly regained his composure.
Shen Long's colossal body trembled, forcing it to land on the ground.
Long Tian's gaze remained locked on Shen Long. Since entering this mysterious realm, he had sensed an overwhelming surge of power, strengthening his connection with Zeus.
This newfound strength unlocked a new ability: the Immortal Form. As the name implied, in this form, he could not die, and his power soared dramatically.
He expressed gratitude to this place for providing the immense energy and stamina that enabled him to withstand such power.
In this moment, Shen Long glared back at him with furious eyes. It spread its wings, ascending into the sky. Its mouth bulged, and it unleashed an even more intense burst of fire.
Burst!
Long Tian moved with the speed of lightning, evading the fiery inferno while Shen Long relentlessly pursued, spewing flames.
As Shen Long hovered above, flames billowed from its maw. Long Tian gracefully dodged the scorching onslaught, using his agility to navigate the relentless heat. The very ground quaked beneath their intense battle.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIn his Immortal Form, Long Tian paid no heed to the fiery tempest, leaping into the air as if blessed by the gods. The Blade of Olympus, adorned with resounding black lightning, aimed to sever Shen Long's tail.
However, Shen Long was no ordinary adversary. It spun and twisted in mid-air, narrowly avoiding the lethal strikes of the blade. With a flick of its tail, it struck at Long Tian.
Thump!
Its tail struck Long Tian's armored form, sending him hurtling. Despite the excruciating pain, he swiftly rose to his feet, his eyes locked fiercely onto Shen Long.
He sensed that Shen Long had not brought its full might to this battle, likely influenced by the unique nature of this place.
His gaze sharpened, and, with a swift motion, Long Tian summoned a colossal storm. Dark clouds swirled overhead.
Rumble!
Thunder resounded, and black lightning descended upon Shen Long, striking its scales and eliciting agonized roars.
However, Shen Long was no foe to be vanquished easily. It responded with an explosive conflagration that engulfed the battlefield, conjuring epic flames of hellish proportions. Flames licked at Long Tian's immortal form, but he stood unwavering.
Their relentless duel continued, a clash between two titans. Long Tian with the Blade of Olympus, while Shen Long with its overwhelming physical prowess. Each blow, every roar, shook the earth beneath them.

Claw!
In a pivotal moment, Shen Long managed to rake its claws across Long Tian's body, seemingly tearing him into multiple pieces!
Yet, in a matter of seconds, his body instantly restored itself without a single scar.
With lightning speed, Long Tian evaded Shen Long, exhaustion evident on his face. As his body regenerated from being torn asunder, his energy was depleting at an astonishing rate.
Shen Long stood tall, its body covered in numerous cuts and burns from Long Tian's lightning strikes.
Long Tian knew he had to gather all his strength to finish off Shen Long. He tightly gripped the hilt of the Blade of Olympus, infusing it with the power of Zeus. The blade began to gleam with a golden aura.
Prepared and focused, Long Tian poised himself, his gaze locked onto Shen Long's body.
On the other hand, Shen Long, with a resounding roar, prepared to strike at Long Tian.
While Long Tian was ready, waiting for the opportune moment, Shen Long raised its clawed hand, ready to tear into him once more. However, in a swift motion, Long Tian moved at lightning speed toward Shen Long's chest. The Blade of Olympus pierced its heart, causing black lightning to explode from the wound.
Rumble!
Gritting his teeth, Long Tian sought to channel the black lightning into Shen Long's very core.
"RAAAAAARGH!" Shen Long let out a thunderous, agonized roar as its body convulsed, unable to withstand the immense power surging through it.
Gradually, its roars subsided, and its body went limp, transforming into a swirling abyss of dark energy. Long Tian descended to the ground, standing unwaveringly as he witnessed Shen Long's essence fade into nothingness.
The battle had been won, but Long Tian couldn't shake the feeling that Shen Long had not unleashed its full power. He believed that Shen Long had only utilized its physical strength. Yet, in fiction and legend alike, dragons were symbols of magic and mystery, known for much more than brute force.
Nonetheless, Long Tian felt a sense of relief. He had defeated Shen Long, his martial spirit, and he couldn't help but express his gratitude to Zeus. Without Zeus's intervention, he would never have prevailed. Perhaps it was because Zeus hailed from another realm, which explained why he was not like Shen Long, his opponent.
Long Tian's black lightning-adorned armor slowly faded into an illusion, and he returned to his normal form.
In the next moment, excruciating pain coursed through every inch of his body, rendering him immobile. His eyes turned red, and blood seeped from them.
Long Tian could only endure the agony, screaming inwardly. The pain seemed to intensify with each passing second.
Unable to bear it any longer, he slowly closed his eyes, his consciousness slipping away.
As time passed, he lay motionless on the ground, his condition unknown.
However, before long, a particle of light appeared, lifting his body and levitating him into the air.
Simultaneously, the once pitch-black sky transformed into a brilliant blue. This place morphed into an ethereal realm above the clouds.
Countless golden dragon statues lined the path on either side, and a grand staircase materialized, leading to a magnificent statue of a seven-headed dragon clutching a goblet filled with golden liquid.

The light particle gently descended him, and what had been a dark landscape had transformed into a cloud-filled realm.
His gaze fixated on the statue of the seven-headed dragon, and he grinned. "Is that my reward? Hehe, I hope it's worth my efforts," he mumbled to himself.
With that, he began to stride toward it.
However, a sudden and unexpected turn of events unfolded.
Stab!
A sword pierced through his back from behind. His eyes widened as he stared at the surface of the sword that had just appeared before him.
"What the-" his voice caught in his throat as dark energy enveloped the blade, entering his body.
As the sword was withdrawn, he fell forward. Behind him stood a figure in a black robe, grinning like a malevolent demon.
"At long last, after hundreds of thousands of years, I shall be free from this accursed place," the figure said with a sinister grin, revealing an indescribable sense of satisfaction.
From the figure's countenance, it was evident that this was Long Guanyu, the one who had granted Long Tian the ability to walk on water. What he had bestowed upon Long Tian wasn't just the power to defy gravity but also a "Soul Track" that allowed him to locate Long Tian wherever he might be. And now, his plan had succeeded.
Long Guanyu's gaze bore into Long Tian. He still couldn't believe that Long Tian had overcome the challenges in the Dragon Temple.
From the beginning, the challenge was designed to be insurmountable. Moreover, it's implausible for anyone to overcome their own martial spirit.
Nonetheless, it was fortuitous for him since he finally had a vessel with a soul.
"Fear not, my child. Your soul will be eternally bound to mine," he grinned.
As he reached out to touch Long Tian, a sudden slash emanated from a different direction, cleaving through Long Guanyu's hand.
His hand fell to the ground without any blood coming out.
His expression shifted from surprise to disbelief as he turned toward the source of the attack. There, a gracefully dressed woman in white moved elegantly toward him, wielding a seemingly formless sword.
"If you dare lay a finger on him, I shall reduce you to pieces," she spoke, her voice as graceful as silk yet laced with a deadly threat.
