That evening, Alexander came to pick Lily up as usual and went home with her.

Once she calmed down, she became interested in the gift again. "What is it?"
The box was small, but judging from its size, it looked like it would be something besides jewelry.
Alexander started the car and said, "Open it and see."
As he spoke, Lily had already leaned over and taken the box. She tried to see how heavy it was and

Lily cared not for jewelry, bags, or clothes. All she cared about were her fragrances. However,
Alexander did not know much about those. It was hard to buy her gifts unless she had openly told him
what she wanted.
A pair of shoes just happened to be what she wanted, and Lily loved them.
"I noticed your feet were a little red a few days ago, and I figured it’s probably because of your shoes. I
know you don’t typically buy clothes or shoes for yourself, but when I saw this, I thought it'd fit you.
Plus, it seems super comfortable."
Although he casually explained himself, Lily could tell Alexander had put his heart into this gift.
