Despite Kyle's efforts to accelerate Arashi's evolution it took the Spirit Soul two more months before he finally finished the evolution.
Everyone had given their best to reach higher mastery over the Wings of Ilusia technique, and now even Jaden was able to replicate flying to a certain extent.
Learning the movement technique without an elemental affinity was certainly not easy but Jaden worked hard and it was rewarded.
Now all of them were waiting for Arashi to finish his evolution so that they could depart to the forbidden forest.
In the last two months, the Ragzra kingdom and the Thunderclaw kingdom had begun their attack against the Lahin kingdom. By combining their forces, they were strong enough to deliver a severe blow to the kingdom that was ruled by the Lohar Queen.
Kyle and the others expected this to happen sooner or later, but the situation didn't end here. In fact, the attack on the Lahin kingdom was the first piece of a domino that was pushed over.
The Glacia kingdom didn't want the Lahin kingdom to cease to exist. Thus, they attacked the Thunderclaw kingdom that had been a big obstacle in their view of how the lands in the Shalivra valley should be ruled.
However, not only the Glacia kingdom begin to wage war against the Thunderclaw kingdom but the Anadra kingdom as well. Independent from each other, they attacked the Thunderclaw kingdom and caused death and destruction.
But this was not it. The Nasga race's tribal territory didn't stay silent. They attacked the Glacia kingdom from all their borders, using the maturity ceremony as an excuse to attack the borders.
Kyle and the others witnessed close to 10 attacks in the last two months. None of them was truly dangerous but everyone predicted that these attacks were more like investigations than serious attacks.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe serious attacks would happen soon, and before they happened, it was best for them to be as far away as possible. This was something their entire group had in common; their opinion about the current situation.
From the looks of it to prevent being sandwiched in the war between multiple kingdoms it was best to enter the forbidden forest. At least, they would know that there would only be beasts to fight against and not armies with hundreds of thousands of Cultivators.
The thought of fighting so many opponents was frightening and it was definitely not something Kyle looked forward to.
"Arashi, you can come out!" Kyle suddenly said, when everyone had come together. All of them wanted to witness the final moments of Arashi's evolution.
When Kyle called his Spirit Soul out, a thin layer of golden light shrouded Arashi. He was covered by the light that illuminated the entire room. Everyone was dazzled for several seconds before they adjusted to the bright light.
It dimmed down with the seconds passing and the layer around Arashi began to thin out as well. A yelp of joy could be heard from within the shroud, and it was only a matter of time before Arashi's big head emerged from the shroud.
From the moment Kyle saw Arashi, he knew that his Spirit Soul had grown twice, if not thrice in size.
"Your head…is already as big as your entire body was before you evolved," Selene blurted out, chuckling lightly.
Arash tilted his head as he looked over, only for his entire body to be unveiled all of a sudden.
His azure fur shone brightly as he yelped out acting like a wolf. A magnificent tail had grown out of each of the bulges Arashi had on each side of his tail before evolving. They were azure in color follow and their tip was of a flawless white.
Arashi's black horn had grown to more than twenty centimeters and if one looked closely, one could tell that Arashi's size had actually grown to more than one meter in height.
However, something seemed odd which was something everyone noticed the moment Arashi's body shrank. He turned into the small furball he had been from the beginning as he jumped on Kyle's shoulder.
He rubbed his head against Kyle's head lovingly before yelping out once again.
"He can shrink in size?" Yasmine's eyes widened as she took a step closer to take a look at Arashi from close up.
Yet, even before she could see something, Arashi's three tails grew in size, covering the Spirit Soul's entire body like a form of protection.
Kyle twisted his neck to look at Arashi. He used his Nurture ability to take a proper look at his friend, and soulmate before he smiled brightly.
"You got a lot stronger, huh?" Kyle's expression was overflowing with excitement when he sensed how much stronger Arashi became.
At first, Kyle only noticed that his wind affinity seed became stronger. It required more Soul force to use his wind affinity but the lethality of the winds he could manifest had increased exponentially as well. It was amazing and Kyle could hardly contain himself.
'Even without Arashi's help, I can definitely fight beasts at the Mid ranks of the Krysal stage. With Aurora's help it shouldn't even be impossible to fight Late Krysal stage beasts. With Arashi's help….Acerta stage beasts can queue up and die at my hands!!' Kyle thought, clenching his fist in joy.
He tried to calm down and regain his senses. His sight was already blurred from all the thoughts that flashed through his mind, and Arashi didn't make things easier.
After his Spirit Soul's evolution was completed, Kyle felt powerless and as if he had been deprived of all his energy. Meanwhile, Arashi was overflowing with energy.
Thanks to their connection that seemed to have grown deeper after Arashi evolved, his Spirit Soul occupied his mind now as well.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmFeeling powerless, Kyle slumped to the ground as his smile turned brighter.
"Arashi…reached the Peak of the Krysal stage?!? How is that even possible??" Beatrice suddenly blurted out feeling like everything she had witnessed in her life was a lie.
She was already extremely fast by progressing through the Mid ranks of the Krysal stage at a rapid speed. However, Arashi's evolution which took up 5 months was already enough from a Lowest ranked Krysal stage beast to reach the Peak of the Krysal stage. That had to be a big joke!!
Beatrice was not the only one to be shocked. Everyone could hardly contain themselves. Jaden, who had worked the hardest was barely at the Lowest rank of the Krysal stage. Only Kyle had a lower cultivation base but that was only obvious.
And it was not as if Kyle would remain below him either. With Arashi's rapid progress and his evolution, Kyle was bound to cultivate rapidly. As long as Arashi's energy absorption and energy conversion development paths were further developed Kyle may as well be one of the first to reach the Acerta stage.
This was ridiculous and it was hard not to get jealous. Of course, Kyle didn't get jealous. He was overjoyed with how powerful Arashi became in the blink of an eye.
The last five months were definitely worth it. All the soul energy he provided to the Nurture ability to nourish Arashi while he evolved had definitely been worth it.
However, it was just at this moment when Kyle noticed something weird.
"Wait…Arashi didn't create his Soul Crystals yet?! How can he even be at the Peak of the Krysal stage without having created all nine Soul Crystals?!" Kyle asked stupefied about what he had just perceived.
Everyone else tried to sense Arashi's cultivation base as well, however, they didn't see that anything was off.
"We cannot see his Soul Crystals…." Selene said after a few seconds. She frowned deeply, just like the others.
Oddly enough, it was Aurora, who spoke up for the first time.
"I can sense it as well! Arashi has already advanced to the Peak of the Krysal stage according to his cultivation base but he has yet to create his soul crystals!" She said, overjoyed that she was the only one who could sense something others couldn't
"Well, its great that you can sense something but what does that mean," Kyle mumbled in front of himself, only for Aurora to speak up once again.
"When a beast evolved it often reaches a certain cultivation base to make it easier for it to advance. Maybe this is what happens to Arashi? He already reached the Peak of the Krysal stage, yet not really?"
