Aldrich sucked in a cold breath. To this day he had never met anyone else who knew of essence besides himself, this was the first time. This guy might really know about the secrets of the nightmare town.

"I don't really have much essence orbs with me now, maybe some time later."

Aldrich was regretful but he needed every single orb right now.

"A shame," Uldin shook his head.

"But since this is our first meeting, why don't I give you a treat in name of our budding friendship?"

"I'll give you any information you want as long as the price doesn't exceed three green essence orbs."

"Anything?" Aldrich asked in disbelief.

"Remember the price. It's not really anything."

"Can I ask about the Overseer's mansion?"

"Sure."

"In the Overseer's mansion, is there a teleportation gate that can take me to the Divine Land?"

Although he knew he still had to make sure lest he go on a fool's errand.

"There is."

"If I get the key of the gate can I use it?"

This was a crucial question if Aldrich was a neglectful person he might have missed it.

Uldin smirked, "no, you can't."

That was an unexpected answer. Aldrich had thought that he would only need the key to use the gate.

"Why not? As far as I know I only need the key to activate the gate."

"That's true, you're well informed on this. But, have you asked yourself how the gate works? In the current situation it can't happen."

"What do you mean? Stop talking in riddles."

"There's a spatial ban on this world, think of it as a seal that prevents anyone from coming in or going out of this realm. Otherwise how could I still be stuck here?"

Uldin then squat down and drew a circle on the ground, "this is the world we're in now."

Then he drew another circle around the first one, "this is the seal that the Lord of Clairvoyant Moon put on all three worlds in this region."

"So, if you want to leave this realm you must first break the seal and then feel free to use the gate however you want."

"And how exactly do I go about doing something like that?"

"It's simple, really. First go through the Overseer's mansion get the key and use the teleportation gate to go to Thelanis."

"You just said that I can't use it."

"Can you pay attention? I said you can't travel outside the world but you can within the world."

"And how exactly will going to this Thelanis solve this issue?"

"Have you heard of Castamerphia? Its the capital of the three worlds and it's also the home of the Lord of Clairvoyant Moon. I bet it has the coordinate of the seal, from there you can dispel the seal."

"So?"

"So, when Castamerphia fell from the sky it fell on another great city at the center of this continent called Thelanis."

Aldrich narrowed his eyes, he had hopped that he would quickly reach the Divine Land but fate had other plans for him. It was one problem after another.

But Aldrich wasn't about to give up so easily either no matter how long it took he was going to retrieve Isger's soul.

If so then there must be a way to break the realm seal in Castamerphia. When the time came he was going to test the words of this Uldin.

Anyway this did not change the short-term plans that he made. He still had to go to the Overseer's mansion and then figure things out from there.

"So, where's the teleportation gate key exactly, I mean where in the mansion?"

"It should be with the Overseer himself at all times. The safest place must be within his person."

"Is the Overseer strong?"

"What do you think?"

"Have you come across an old madman here?"

The one he was referring to was the one that he first met when he came to this place.

"An old madman? Madness isn't new around here, I need a better description. A name perhaps?"

"Hmm, no. He's just a generic old man who argues with himself from time to time."

"I really can't do much with that lack of information."

"That's understandable." It made sense, besides that man couldn't have been alive a thousand years ago right?

The reason why Aldrich even bothered to ask was because he knew the Professionals of the nightmare realm could increase their lifespans when they advanced in their professions at some point.

"Tell me about the power system in this world. I already know about the divine cores so tell me about the different advancements and the most notable figures."

"That's too much, I will answer but only in the most general of terms anymore and the price will go out of control.

In the Divine Domain the power levels were divided by advancements in the profession. When one takes a profession, for example a well known the Knight profession starts with: Squire, that is the first advancement.

Then Knight is the second advancement, the third advancement is the Moonlit Knight, the fourth is the Clairvoyant grand knight and finally, the fifth advancement is know as Mystic knight.

In the Clairvoyant Moon region at the very least, fifth advancement professionals are considered the peak in the three worlds and could increase their life spans by two hundred and fifty years at minimum.

In all the three worlds there are no more than ten of them, each of them presides over important matters and they could be considered close confidants of the Lord of Clairvoyant Moon himself, they are very very rare even if you look at the entire Divine Domain.

In this world, achieving the fifth advancement means becoming a 'higher being.' There are some of them in Castamerphia and Thelanis right now, well, whatever remains of the two cities anyhow."

Aldrich mused on this information, in the real world he had never heard of anyone extending their life spans. Even the Archbishops who are grade four Crestmasters died at a normal age between ninety and a hundred.

"Alright, we're done with the questions today," declared Uldin.

Aldrich wanted to ask more but he already got some good info for free, which softened his stance with Uldin.

"Don't be discouraged young one, why don't you take a look at my wares? Maybe something will catch your fancy."

"Fine, show me." Well looking has never done anyone any harm, so why not? Besides if he saw something useful he might come back after saving up later.
