Chapter 998

’You don't look tired. Wipe my hair for me," said Edwin.

Joanne suspected that he did not hear her words clearly, and repeated, ’ Your first love, she is now..."

’Did you hear me? Wipe my hair for me, or don't sleep tonight. Your choice, ' said Edwin as he sat down at the edge of the bed.

It looked like he did not care about that girl's safety after all.

After all, Edwin was a well-known playboy in Sapphire City.

It was said that the most difficult thing for a man to forget is his first love. However, Edwin did not seem bothered at all that this girl was alone

and drunk in a bar.

Would Joanne be treated the same way the moment she gave birth to a child and divorced him?

She took the towel and started wiping Edwin's head. His hair was of good quality. Even though he had

just finished bathing, it was still very fluffy. It seemed that he had applied some essential oil while

bathing earlier.

Joanne could not have but to play with his short hair. She was having a little fun until she realized

Edwin was glaring back at her.

She then quickly stopped messing with his hair and continued wiping obediently.

Joanne took a long time, and eventually, she got sleepy. Her eyelids were drooping, so Edwin allowed

her to stop and rest.

She fell to the bed and was asleep almost instantly. The surrounding temperature was hot, and tiny

water droplets could be seen on the skin of her neck.

Suddenly, Edwin's cell phone rang again.

He got off the bed, annoyed, and grabbed the phone.

"Hello?"

"Eddy! Save me... No! Ah!" A woman's shrill scream was heard from the other end of the receiver.

"Noah? What happened-" said Edwin.

Beep...

The call was suddenly cut off abruptly.

Edwin’s eyes sank. He quickly got out of bed, put on a jacket, and was about to leave.

Joanne heard the rustling sound around the room. She turned her head around only to see Edwin

opening the door. "Where are you going?" she blurted out.

Joanne quickly regretted asking that question.

She had heard Edwin calling Noah's name in the phone call earlier.

She must be his first love.

What a nice name.

"Something happened to a friend of mine. I'm going over to have a look. I'll be back soon," said Edwin.

He left as he finished speaking.

Joanne sat up from her bed. The huge room seemed so empty all of a sudden.

She obviously wanted Edwin to look for his first love girlfriend. If they got back together, Joanne could just easily divorce him without having

children.

However, for some reason, she was feeling a little upset about this.
