Rose went mad with anger, “That family keeps crossing the line!” Norman rasped, “How is Linda doing?” “She's barely eating, or drinking. | took her phone when | saw the situation on Twitter.” “We have to defend ourselves!” “Be prepared at the police station. Do not agree or deny any of their statements until | get our lawyer.” She fidgeted, “Act calm.
Don't give in to the interrogators. Remember, you had nothing to do with that incident.” Norman replied, “You need to make preparations for Linda since the situation in our family is dire right now. I'll plea for insanity.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThey'll most likely transfer her to another hospital.” “Transfer?!” Rose was baffled by what her husband was insinuating.
Norman insisted, “Linda is in no shape to defend herself in court. Her best chance is to plead for insanity and claim she is mentally ill. Besides, we can't help her.” Rose took a deep breath. It was clearly stated on Twitter that this incident had something to do with Linda, but the police called Norman, so someone snitched. There was a traitor amongst him.
Rose sighed, “Okay, I'll prepare Linda right now.” It was too late to berate him with questions.
The two hung up the phone, and Rose quickly gave the assistant the green light to complete the paperwork before she headed back to the ward.
Rose became agitated. She noticed that Linda had stood up and was frantically searching for her cell phone.
" Linda, we're transferring you to another hospital because this one is unable to improve your health for the time being.” Linda froze, “This is our own hospital, and it's among the best in Bayswe. Where else can we go?” Her mother was unable to answer her question.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmLinda insisted, “Where is my mobile phone, did you take it away?" Her mother retorted, “You just said you want to rest. I'm afraid that the phone will disturb you. After all, you have not been in good spirits these past few days.” “Give it to me,” Linda demanded.
Rose frowned slightly, “You pack up now. We are leaving the hospital, so we need to change into a set of clothes first.” “I'm not leaving. I'm staying here. I'm not comfortable transferring to another hospital, and I'm most certainly not mentally ill as you claim | am.” “So, you're well?” Rose was about to reproach angrily but refrained. “How long are you going to have me stay with you? Don’t you know every minute I'm here is another chance for that family to worsen our reputation?” Rose turned crimson from the thought of it.
Linda barked, “Give it to me! | want to know what they've said!” Rose: “...” She paused for some time, thinking that handing Linda the phone would aggravate her but that delaying might force Linda to investigate further.
