Chapter 164
A manager beaten and bloodied on Jerden Group's turf? That was a serious failure on his watch as the security captain.
Crack!
Yale spotted a security captain coming his way and his boiling anger found its vent. He smacked the captain right across the cheek, then glared at Liam and Calum with a snarl. "What kind of Mickey Mouse operation are you running here? They're causing a scene at our front door and you're nowhere to be seen! Are you blind that you miss these two hulking guys! Get in there and give 'em a good thrashing!"
The captain, his cheek still stinging from the slap, did not hesitate. He barked at his squad, "Move it! Take these two down and make them grovel to Mr. Yale!"

However, Liam's frosty words stopped them abruptly. "Think long and hard about the consequences before you make your move."
That single sentence froze the captain and his men in their tracks, leaving them looking like deer in headlights, caught between advancing and retreating.
Yale was a big shot in Drunham City, and the fact that he had been hit meant those guys were no small fry.
Seeing his guards hesitate, Yale, red-faced and seething, shoved the man in front of him aside. He landed a kick on the chief, cursing up a storm. "Incompetents! What are you scared of? You think they're sVIPs? They don't even have an appointment! Worthless, the lot of you! Get on with it!"
After tearing into the captain, Yale spun around to face Liam, his face twisted with malice. "You've got snerve hitting me, punk! I don't care who you are, you're done for! Beg for my forgiveness now, and maybe I'll let you keep one of your arms!"
Liam's icy gaze cut through Yale's swagger. With a mocking laugh, he said, "So, Kolten's crew is full of guys like you? That's pretty underwhelming."
"Insolent! Do you think you're worthy to speak our chairman's nso casually? Are you looking for trouble?" Yale bellowed with fury.
Unperturbed, Liam stood his ground, his unwavering stare fixed on the blustering Yale and his entourage. "I'm not known for my patience. Apologize now, or I swear I'll bring this building down around you!"
The room erupted in laughter.

"Maybe he's just mad because he got turned away from seeing the chairman and now he's talking nonsense. He's got snerve, spouting off like that without biting his tongue!"
"Enough, I need a moment to laugh! You run into all kinds of characters these days! This is just too much, absolutely ridiculous!"
"Seriously, he doesn't even know where he is! This is Jerden Group, a top dog in Willoughby! Who does he think he is, making wild claims about demolishing the place?"
The mockery was relentless, and Yale's sneer was particularly vicious as he taunted, "Big talker, huh? Well, let's see you try! I'd love to see how you plan to take this building down today. If you fail, I'll be the one taking you apart!"
Liam brushed off the insults from Yale and the rest like they were nothing. He gave a composed, knowing glance at Calum, and he got the signal. Calum whipped out his phone and declared with a chill in his voice, "I want an armored squad and a combat engineer squad at Jerden Group, stat!"
