Nancy licked her dry lips. “I want to drink some water first.”
“Okay.” He turned to the water dispenser and poured her a glass of warm water.
Nancy instinctively raised her hand to take it.
Mick glanced at her bandaged hand, noticing several other
cuts and bruises on her hands.
“Your hand is not convenient, let me feed you water,” he said,
offering the cup to her lips.
Nancy was taken aback but didn’t refuse, sipping the water
slowly.

“Don’t be afraid! No one can hurt you now!” he reassured her.
“Really?” she asked tearfully.

Nancy seemed tired and cried herself to sleep.
Mick gently wiped away the tears on her face with his fingers, feeling the heat on his

personally fed her three meals a day and even carried her to the bathroom, only leaving
