She'd missed out on the morning market, so they had nothing to eat besides slettuce and carrots from their garden. That was nowhere near good enough for someone like Jasper Hughes! A great man like him probably enjoyed the finest foods from around the world every day... how could he settle for a basic garden salad? It wasn't every day that the Nason Village had a guest like him... someone of his social status deserved only the best hospitality available! Yes, nothing less than the very best...
Furthermore, if he joined Willow for a meal, along with her side of the family... if they talked about Yvette, and what had happened in the locked shed that night...
All her lies would be brought out into the light of day.
