Chapter 1006 I Thought It Was Someone Else "Do you feel any discomfort?"
After waiting for a while, Rosalie asked, still feeling unsure.
The little one shook his head. He felt nothing other than the sharp pain when the needle poked into his
skin.
Rosalie was relieved to see that.
After a while, Rosalie removed the needles after the treatment was completed.
The little one sat up and looked at Rosalie naively. "Ma'am, am I all right now?"
Rosalie felt sorry for the kid and said, "No. We have to observe your situation continuously. You have to
pay attention to your health and not do strenuous activities, okay?"
The little one agreed.
Rosalie prescribed some herbal medicines for the little one, and Xander gave her some suggestions
along the way.
After considering it for a while, she decided to change her prescription according to Xander's

The little one took the prescription to the pharmaceutical worker to take the medication.
Rosalie's gaze was sad upon watching the little guy leave.
The free clinic went very well, and the little guy's symptoms were not severe. Even so, Rosalie could not help but
feel sad.
If the kid had a family, his family members would have taken care of him after knowing that he had severe heart
disease.
However, the little one had no parents.
If it were not for their free treatment, the little one might have...
Just when she felt sad, Xander's voice came from behind her.
"Rest assured. The follow-up treatment is free, and we'll continue to observe the child’s condition until he recovers.”
Rosalie turned around and looked at Xander gratefully. "I thank the Lancer family on behalf of the children."
Xander smiled casually and looked at the small gifts Rosalie had brought, which she had left at one corner of the
tent. "What should we do with them?"
Rosalie looked at the bag and went to get it.
"I'll distribute them to the other kids. Please wait for me here.”
Xander agreed.
Soon, Rosalie walked out of the tent. Outside the tent was the cheering sound of the children.
Xander smiled. He had expected the children to cheer upon the gifts.
"Young Master Xander, here's the record of this free clinic. Please take a look."
A staff member held a book and approached Xander.
Xander took the book. Before he could even look through the first page, a ringtone came from the tent.
Looking toward the sound, Xander saw Rosalie’s phone flashing on the table.
During the free clinic, Rosalie and Xander had set their mobile phones aside for convenience.
Rosalie had forgotten to take it with her when she went out.
Xander nodded to the staff member and headed to the table to see who was calling.
On the screen, Byron’s name flashed.
Xander lifted his eyebrows and looked at the tent's entrance.

It seemed Rosalie was having fun interacting with the kids and would not be back that soon.
Xander retracted his sight and picked up the call.
The man on the other side did not speak at once, and Xander remained silent, pretending to be
profound.
After a while, Byron's deep voice came from the other end of the call." What are you doing?"
However, Xander pretended as if he had just realized it was a call from Byron and answered
exaggeratedly, "President Lawrence? I thought it was someone else because you didn't say a word.
Why are you looking for Miss Jacobs?"
The man from the other end of the call remained silent again.
Xander said nothing either as a meaningful smirk appeared on his face. 2
For a moment, only the two men's slow breathing could be heard at either end of the line.
Neither of them spoke as if they were waiting for the other one to say something. Neither of them
hung up the call either.
