"Once they run out of coins to spend, they'll have to go hunting or die of hunger" Alex mumbled as he reached the market street.
The street wasn't as filled as the other time they were here and most of the shops had closed as it was almost nighttime.
Alex quickly walked over to the potion shop to see if Matthew was still around, Matthew was in front of the shop closing up when Alex arrived.
"I got the leaves," Alex said from behind him.
"Huh! Oh, it's you, wait you got the leaves?" he asked.
"Yes 56, so you are going to make an extra 40 potion for me," Alex said and Matthew smiled.
"Sure, what is your adventurer rank?" Matthew asked.
"Rank, I'm not an adventurer yet," Alex said.
"What!! you're not an adventurer yet, then you just go on quests, why haven't you become an adventurer, you'll get paid for completing quests instead of going around looking for quests"
"I'm heading to Zenith City tomorrow," Alex replied.
"Ohh, that's good, I'm sure you make a good name for yourself, you are a knight right?"
"Yes, and I wanted to ask, when will the potion be ready, I'm thinking of leaving first thing in the morning"
"Leave it to me, I was locking up because I have no ingredients to make potions, but now that you are here, I'm going to work my ass till morning," Matthew said with a smile.
"Oh thanks, but what if no one is available to find the leaves for you, how would you make potions?" Alex asked.
"A carriage comes in once a month to supply ingredients from the Silver Continent, I usually get ingredients from the carriage, even if you do go to the Silver Continent, you might still be going on a quest for me, hehe" Matthew smirked.
"The first time you have me the quest, you knew we would face undead, have you ever gone on an ingredient hunt yourself?" Alex asked as Matthew opened his shop.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"No why would I, I'm not a fighter, and even though I attended the magic academy I focused on alchemy, but the moonlight plant is a special plant and undead warriors usually protect it or hang around it"
"Maybe it's because you can't see them in the morning, moonlight plants usually give out blue light at night, but they are nowhere to be found during the day" Matthew explained.
"And no one knows why?"
"Yes, the plants along with the undead warriors can't be seen in the morning," Matthew said.
"Strange..." Alex mumbled as he opened his inventory and brought the plants out of thin air, Alex looked at Matthew but he wasn't surprised.
"So I'll give you 56,000 coins along with 40 health potions right?"
"Yes," Alex replied.
Matthew brought out the chest he brought out last time where he usually kept all his valuables and from thin air he removed a key and opened the chest.
"Huh!! wait you have an inventory?" Alex asked.
"Inventory!! I don't understand?"
"You just brought out a key from thin air, how did you do that?" Alex asked.
"Isn't that what you did just now, you are a knight and you brought out the leaves from thin air, don't you know about the storage ring or void ring?" Matthew asked.
"Void ring! what's that?"
"Try to bring out something like you did last time and look at your finger, you'll find a ring there, it's called the storage ring or void ring, it's used for storing non-living objects" Matthew explained.
[Inventory]
Alex opened his inventory and a space opened in front of him, and he looked at his hands, and a ring was there.
Alex was surprised as he had never noticed the ring before, he closed his inventory and looked at his hands, the ring was gone.
"Ohh, yours is the invisible type, it must have cost a lot," Matthew said.
'I had no idea something like this existed, that's why the NPCs were not alarmed when we bring something out of thin air'
Matthew opened the chest as Alex stood there thinking about something, he handed Alex 56,000 blue coins.
"Do the merchants here buy beast crystals?" Alex asked.
"Do to have beast crystals, which ones do you have, which quality?" Matthew asked immediately.
"Are you interested in beast crystals? I got two orc crystals, an intermediate crystal and a basic one" Alex said.
"Orcs...their crystals are most used for making shields and armor, I thought you had a crystal of a magic beast," Matthew said.
"Magic beasts, you mean beasts with magical affinity?"
"Yes, they are many of them in the Bronze Continent but they are never seen, magical beasts hardly leaves it cave or nest, they are usually the one who does the protecting," Matthew said.
"Do you have any idea where a magical beast can be found here in the Bronze Continent?"
"I have no idea, though they are few dungeons here in the Bronze Continent, and after Melmond City, there's a forest, there are few dungeons in the forest"
"Are magical beasts common in the Silver and Gold Continent?"
"I don't know cause I don't live there, but adventurers are popular there so they usually go on raids to dungeons, I'm sure they come across magical beasts sometimes"
"Ohh, I can't wait to visit the Silver Continent" Alex smiled, "I'll be back tomorrow, I'm hungry"
"Okay, bye"
Alex was quite hungry so he visited the eatery they went to earlier where Arya worked as a server.
Alex walked into the eatery and it was quite different at night, colored crystals were placed around making the eatery more beautiful, Alex sat in one of the chairs and Looked at the servers.
Arya wasn't among them so he figured she might have gone home, a young boy walked up to him and gave him the same small piece of paper that contains the meals available.
"Hmm, Tatoes...is this potatoes?" Alex asked.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Yes, it's quite a delicacy," the boy said.
"As long as you work here, everything here is a delicacy, I'll take the tatoes, I hope it's delicious," Alex said as he handed the boy the paper.
"I'm leaving now bye," a voice said and walked away.
Alex sighed softly as he closed his eyes, some months ago he was working his ass off to buy the helmet so he could play Nova Online, if someone told him he would be stuck in the game, he would have considered them insane at that time but this was the reality now.
'I haven't spoken to the sixth since then, maybe he can't reach me now that I'm in the game'
"Alex," a voice said and Alex looked up and saw Arya staring at him with a smile on her face.
"Hey," Alex said.
"I didn't think I'll see you again alone" Arya said as he looked around thinking he came with Melissa.
"I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Zenith City," Alex said.
"Really...I thought you are staying," Arya pouted.
'I didn't notice it but she's really cute, and why is she pouting'
"Are you going with that girl from before, the one with white hair who dragged you out of here before?" Arya said as she sat down close to Alex.
"Yes"
"Is she your girlfriend or are you guys part of a guild?"
"She's not my girlfriend, but you can say we are a group, she's an S-rank adventurer so it's reassuring to be fighting with her," Alex said.
"S-rank, she's really an S-rank adventurer, when you guys left here, did she talk about me?" Arya asked immediately.
"No what's wrong?" Alex asked.
"S-rank adventurers are scary people, just because they are powerful they look down on people below them and also try to take advantage of them, I hope she doesn't come back here" Arya spoke.
"Are you talking about me?" Melissa asked from behind making both of them turn their head upward.
"No we're not" Arya shouted and stood up immediately, she turned around and wanted to leave before Melissa called her back.
"I-I-I'm very sorry, I didn't...I didn't know you, I'm very sorry" Arya said as she now her head down.
Now the eyes of other people in the eatery were on Melissa and Arya, Alex could see that Arya was really scared.
