As Vincent pondered the situation, he tried to find a way to explain himself to Long Mu.
In his memories, Fenrir had simply gone back to Europe to check out a special tomb that held some secret about the origin of the werewolves. Unfortunately, he has forgotten about her after he went berserk and lost his memories.
When he eventually regained his memories, he was already deeply in love with Elizabeth, and it had been more than a thousand years since he had last seen her. He had assumed that she had passed away due to old age.
But now, as he stood before this woman who resembled Long Mu, his instincts told him that she was indeed the same person. He couldn't ignore the strong connection he felt.
Vincent shook his head, realizing the complexities of the situation that his past self had left for him to take care of.
With slow steps, he approached her , surrounded by the lifeless roots that bound her.
"Could this thing have the same mechanism?"he asked himself.
Inspired by the previous discovery with the hidden door, he wondered if the tree would react to energy just like before.
Placing his hand on the roots, he started injecting his energy into them. As he did, the roots began to change colors, coming to life as if being energized by his power.
He continued pouring his energy into them until the roots finally moved, freeing Long Mu from their hold.
He watched as she stirred, slowly waking from her slumber.
He was uncertain of how she would react to seeing his husband's face again after all those years.
But he knew he needed to face the consequences of his past self actions and find a way to explain everything to her.
As Long Mu's eyes opened, her first vision was blurry from all those years of sleep. She could make out the silhouette of a man standing before her, but his face remained too fuzzy to recognize clearly.
"Long Mu,"
Her heart raced as she heard the familiar sound calling her name.

Her gaze turned toward the source of the voice, and as her vision cleared, she saw the face of the man standing before her. It was her husband, the one she had loved and thought was lost forever.
Overwhelmed with joy and sorrow, she couldn't hold back her tears any longer.
They flowed freely down her cheeks as she looked at him, her heart filled with a mix of emotions. It was as if a floodgate had opened, releasing all the feelings she had kept hidden .
"You're finally back," she spoke with a weak voice. She tried to stand up, but her legs gave in from sleeping for so many years.
"Careful," Vincent quickly caught her falling body, supporting her gently.
The moment their hands touched, she felt a strong connection between them. It was truly him, her husband.
The person she loved the most was now standing right in front of her, and her heart was filled with relief and happiness.
The emotions were overwhelming, and she could hardly believe that he was here after all this time.
Vincent held her close, letting her know that he was finally back and that they were together again.
"I'm sorry for leaving you, Long Mu," he spoke sincerely, wanting to apologize on behalf of Fenrir.
Her expression turned sad the moment she heard the word "leave," but she quickly composed herself and reached out to touch his face. Her touch was gentle and filled with understanding.
"It's alright, Elizabeth explained to me what happened. How you lost your memory and about the war," she replied with a sad tone.
"It's still my fault. I'm really sorry," he apologized again, feeling the weight of his past actions. Regardless of Fenrir's reasons, he knew he had still left his wife behind.
He gently put Long Mu down, giving her space to process everything that had happened. The atmosphere was filled with emotions, and they both needed time to absorb the truth of their reunion.
"I sent someone to look for you after I got my memory back but there was no news. So I assumed that you have died of old age already," he broke the silence.
"I understand. After you left, I also tried searching for you. In my journey, I was trapped in a secret realm," Long Mu explained.
"Secret realm...how?" He inquired. He knew about the secret realms from Yuki, but he thought it was almost impossible to go there without breaking the seal.
"It was an accident... I fell on a boat after a severe thunderstorm. When I woke up, I found myself in an island called Wyrm Heaven. I was able to find 5 dragon eggs there, and they granted me powers for taking care of them."
"After that, I was only able to come back to Earth after countless years had passed already. "
"How did you come back?"
"I don't know... When I finally turned into a true dragon, I was expelled for some reason and found myself back on Earth,"
"When I came back to my home town, I was called a deity by the locals. I tried searching for you again, knowing that you're also an immortal, but I only heard about the war that happened ," she spoke with a hint of anger and regret in her tone.
She paused for a moment. Trying to figure out her next words.
Vincent waited patiently, giving her the time she needed to collect her thoughts and continue her explanation.
"Then , I found out about the true reason of your death when Elizabeth and her female companion came to China to bury the fragment," she continued with a heavy heart.
Vincent listened attentively, sensing the weight of her emotions .
He reached out and gently held her hand, offering comfort and support.
He wanted to know more about the secret realms, but he decided to ask her again at a later time. It was more important that he took care of her emotions first.
"I'm sorry for causing you pain," he said softly. "But now that we're together again, I promise to protect you forever,"
"I know you will ," she replied with a gentle smile.
"Did Elizabeth forced you to be trapped here," he asked, genuinely concerned about her well-being.
"No" she shook her head.
"She told me that you will be resurrected in the future and I just have to wait. But she also told me a way where I could copy my powers into the fragment. This way, you will become stronger in the future."
"I wanted to help you. I know that you will face stronger opponents, so I wanted to be a part of you," she added
Vincent was touched by her selflessness and commitment to her lover. He realized that she had been waiting for all this time, doing everything she could to support and empower someone that left her countless years ago .

Now that he had Fenrir's memories, he appreciated even more the effort they all had made to revive him. Even Erika had chosen to be sealed in that ice because of love.
"Do you regret it? Because of me, you had to be trapped here for so many years," he asked.
"My husband, please don't blame yourself for what happened in the past. I made my choice willingly, and I have never regretted it."
"Thank you. I promised to make you happy this time around," he replied.
"Husband, how about starting it with a kiss ?. I've missed you so much," she requested with a bashful yet longing look in her eyes. She had been eagerly waiting for him to kiss her, but he seemed preoccupied with everything that happened.
"Anything you want," he chuckled as he leaned in and planted his lips on hers.
The moment they kissed, he felt a surge of energy flowing through him. The fragments she had stored within her were now merging with his own essence.
Two distinct types of energy flowed through him - the green energy of life and a unique bloodline-specific energy.
Vincent recognized the bloodline energy from his previous absorption of Diablo's essence. Just as he gained control over fire through Diablo's bloodline, this unknown bloodline essence seemed to enhance the quality of his base energy.
The bloodline energy Long Mu transferred to him was not directly increasing his power, but it was refining his existing energy, making it more potent and efficient. He could feel the difference in his strength and control over his abilities.
With the improved quality of his energy, the impact of his attacks would be much greater, even if he could only use a fraction of his total energy reserve because of the limiter.
It's like the difference between using regular gasoline and high-octane fuel – the latter would provide a much more powerful and efficient result. Vincent's battles would now be on a whole new level with this refined energy at his disposal.
He did not know the exact extent of the gap between him and Yuki, but he was pretty sure that this improvement had greatly narrowed it.
Vincent kissed her back, expressing his heartfelt gratitude.
"Thank you. I'm lucky to have you by my side."
Making her happy was the least he could do to reciprocate the love and dedication she had shown.
And with that, he started doing what he did best.
That's right. Satisfying women.
