Angela's anger grew with every word she uttered. She showed no shabout almost being harassed.
Nora, on the other hand, seemed at a loss. "Don't you feel embarrassed? You..."
"Why should | be embarrassed? I'm the victim here. Is there something wrong with that?" Angela shot back. “Ms.
Rutherford, shouldn't you be reflecting on your own actions?"
Just as Angela finished speaking, a low voice from the corner sounded. "Exactly.”
The whispers around them began to grow louder.
"She once tookto a business meeting where | was forced to nearly drink myself to death."
“Nora always takes the pretty employees to entertain men. | don't know what she's thinking.”
“She secured half of her deals by using female employees. She's not as clever as she thinks.
The murmurs were coming from all directions now. Nora was suddenly the target everyone's criticism.

boldness, which seemed to have sparked a wave of frustration among everyone.
"You're all talking nonsense!" Nora snapped weakly.
No one paid her any attention. It felt like everyone was looking at her with open contempt.
Just then, a cold male voice cfrom the door. "What's going on here?"
Angela froze, instinctively turning toward it. Her eyes met a pair of deep, dark ones.
It was Callum.
He stood in the doorway, coldly staring at her. With a single glance, he seemed to take in everything, seeing
through it all.
Nora shuddered in fear and rushed forward. “Mr. Snowden, Angela sabotaged the major deal we had worked so
hard to secure. The executive office has fired her, and now she's causing a scene.’
Nora wasn't worried. She had once been Callum's personal secretary. He valued her and had promoted her to the
design department to help her grow.
She thought Angela was nothing more than a foolish woman who had caught Callum's eye

by chance. There was no way he would turn against her for someone like Angela. “Is that so?" Callum sneered,
his sharp eyes locking onto Nora as if seeing right through her lies.
Nora stiffened, wondering what he meant.
“I've already investigated what happened yesterday. You abused your authority and put others at risk. You should
be thankful they weren't harmed, or else...
He didn't finish his sentence, but the dangerous glint in his eyes made the threat clear. Yet, Nora couldn't
understand why she was the one being blamed.
Angela was momentarily stunned. She couldn't help but wonder why Callum had chosen to stand by her after
learning everything.
Then, she realized this mess hadn't been her fault to begin with.
"An incompetent leader only harms others," Callum said firmly. "Since you can't handle this position, it's tto
make way for someone else."
"Mr. Snowden, I'm sorry,” Nora pleaded, tears welling up in her eyes. "lI won't do it again. Please, give me

She looked up at him through tearful eyes, but her honey trap didn't work.
Callum ignored her and turned back to Angela. His cold gaze softened as he spoke," Starting today, Angela will
be the head of division one of the design department."
The room erupted in gasps of shock.
Angela was equally stunned. She had only just joined the company and wasn't even familiar with the
department. How could she possibly take on such a role?
“Mr. Snowden, she only got into the company by chance,” Nora protested. “I'm willing to step down, but how can
