Chapter 217
Andrew was the lifeblood of the company. When he collapsed, everyone was thrown into chaos.
In the midst of the turmoil, Angela calmly walked up to the podium, her gaze sweeping over the crowd. "The
meeting will continue!"
Her voice wasn't too loud, but the four words were enough to make the atmosphere in the room even more
tense.
Everyone froze, staring at her in astonishment.
Angela's gaze was sharp. "Even if all the senior executives of the company pass out, the company must continue
to operate as usual!"
Her attitude and presence were far from that of a young person in her 20s. She exuded the air of someone with
decades of experience in the business world, and her every movement radiated formidable confidence.
The crowd exchanged glances, but ultimately, they returned to their seats in silence, watching Angela on the
podium.
Angela had never been in such a high position before, with hundreds of eyes on her. No wonder Dexter always

If one had to face so many people and so many issues daily, it would be terrifying to let emotions show on one's
face.
Angela quickly composed herself and began delivering the speech she had practiced and perfected over the past
weeks.
Meanwhile, in an SUV parked downstairs at Graham Group's building, Dexter was watching the surveillance
footage from the top-floor conference hall.
The camera's angle was awkward, only providing a bird's-eye view of Angela, and the auwas limited, but it
was enough to get the point across.
"Mr. Bamford, it looks like Mrs. Bamford can handle the company's affairs on her own." Rocky glanced at the
tablet in Dexter's hands and cautiously suggested, "Should we head back to the company to meet with Mr.
Gardner, who flew all the way from Teranga just to see you?"
Rocky kept glancing at his watch, growing more and more uneasy.
They had already kept Domingo Gardner waiting for over half an hour; if they continued, they'd lose credibility.
Dexter remained unfazed, not even blinking. "There's no need to hurry. He cto ask us for a 30%
discount. If he's bold enough to make such an outrageous request, then he can wait a little longer."
Rocky was left speechless and helpless. He thought Dexter was clearly doing this
for Angela, yet he was making all these excuses.
"Mr. Bamford, Andrew was taken
away by an ambulance just now, and Mrs. Bamford hasn't shown any
concern. Won't this stir anger
among the others?" Rocky suddenly raised a concern that cto mind.
Dexter's gaze softened as he looked out the car window. "She has her own plans on how to deal with that."
He turned off the video, his mind replaying the scenes he had just witnessed. He had to admit that Angela's
transformation was astonishing.
She wasn't just different when dealing with him; she seemed to have changed entirely, no matter the situation.
If the old Angela had been in that scenaearlier, she would have been terrified and pale-faced.
But now, she was calm and
collected, handling everything with
ease. She was even able to outshine

presence. It was truly impressive.
Another half hour passed, and Rocky was almost at his breaking point.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a familiar figure hurrying out of Graham Group's building.
"Mr. Bamford! Mr. Bamford, Mrs. Bamford has cout!" Rocky said urgently. "What is she planning to do?"
Dexter uttered, "Roll up the window!"
But it was already too late.
Angela glanced over, and even though it was just a brief moment, their eyes met.
Dexter quickly turned away, his heart racing.
