First Love 111

Chapter 111

"Noah arranged it. | didn't expect you'd be asleep when | arrived. That bed was supposed to be mine, so if

anyone should feel wronged, it's me.” Dexter smirked, tilting his head. A hint of amusement danced around his

lips.

Angela seethed. She slipped into the walk-in closet and dressed in a hurry. Then, she hauled her suitcase to

leave, but Dexter blocked her.

“If I cin and you go out, people might suspect we're on the rocks. It won't be good for either of our

reputations,” Dexter said. He held her wrist without much force, yet she couldn't shake free.

"I don't want to stay in the ssuite as you. You annoy me!" She shot him a fierce look and wrenched her hand

loose.

“Stay three days and I'll pay you 100 thousand,” he said, flashing his money.

Angela stopped in her tracks.

The suite was big. There was even a smaller side room. In the worst case, she could sleep there.

"200 thousand," she countered coldly.

Dexter arched an eyebrow. “Deal.”

Since the competition was the next day, Angela planned to gather everyone early in the day. She wanted to

remind them of a few things before letting them rest.

“Alright, does everyone understand? Any questions?" She kept it concise, standing in the center of the room.

They each confirmed that they were ready and eager. They all looked energized except for one person- Flora.

She sat beside Zion, one hand pressed to her stomach, the other clutching at her clothes. Her face looked pale,

and her lips were white. She seemed ill.

Zion, however, didn't seem to notice. He was busy looking at something on his phone.

After the meeting, Angela asked Flora to stay behind. “Flora, are you feeling sick?”

Flora shook her head.

Just then, Zion turned back and said, “Flora, I'm heading back. Make sure to cback

early after you're done talking with Ms. Graham."

He waved goodbye, flashing a bright smile.

Flora's expression grew tense. She recognized that little wave of his. He was signaling her to do something to

Angela.

“I... I'm fine,” Flora said softly, still holding her stomach.

Angela understood and said, "I have spainkillers and a heating pad. Cwith me.' She helped Flora back

to her own suite, ignoring her attempts to refuse.

Dexter opened the door. "You're back. | already ordered dinner-"

He stopped mid-sentence, clearly surprised to see someone else there.

Flora froze. "I should leave. I..."

"There's no need. Just pretend he's invisible." Angela nudged Flora inside and helped her sit on the couch. Then,

she opened her luggage to retrieve a few items.

"Here. Put on this heating pad for warmth, then take these pills for the pain,” Angela said. Then, she called Trent

and asked for a pot of ginger tea.

Dexter sat in the corner, watching Angela bustle around to help someone else so

attentively. His expression was unreadable.

He fiddled with his phone. Suddenly, a message popped up on WhatsApp.

“Mr. Bamford, your candlelit dinner is ready. Here's the address." A high-end restaurant's location link appeared

below that message.

By the tFlora was ready to leave, she looked much better. Angela gave her the heating pad, reminding her to

focus on the contest and not let the pain get her down.

Once Flora left, the room's atmosphere grew heavy again.
