Chapter 690 Sincerity Begets Sincerity, Even With Parents
Jasper remained expressionless. "So what if she knows? | believe in treating people well if they treatwell.
Sincerity begets sincerity, even with parents."
Xavia gave him life, but it was not something he asked for. Since she made the decision to have him, she should
be responsible for him. It should not be constant scolding and treating him like an enemy.
He had reflected on himself many times, questioning if his grades were not high enough or if he was not
obedient enough... He had tried to do better, yet she still did not like him. He could not understand it, but he
firmly believed he was not at fault.
Chloe observed Jasper attentively. He appeared to be a cool and indifferent child, unaffected by anything.
However, upon closer observation, one would notice the hint of sadness in his dark, shining eyes whenever Xavia
was mentioned.
A pang of heartache washed over Chloe. She empathized with the feeling of not being recognized by elders. She

"Yes, Daddy respectsand loves me, so | hope that he finds happiness," Jasper said, maintaining direct eye
contact with her. "Can you make my daddy happy?"
"No," Chloe rejected decisively, reaching out to ruffle his little head. "Adult matters aren’t your concern. Just
remember that it's impossible between your father and me. Con, I'll take you home."
Jasper furrowed his brows. "I'll help Daddy win you back."
Chloe smiled in amusement, finding his innocence charming.
While driving, she realized that the car was running low on fuel. As they passed a gas station, she said to Jasper,
"Wait a moment. | need to refuel."
Jasper did not respond and followed her out of the car to get sfresh air.
"Mommy, that boy over there is the first of our class.”
A young girl's innocent voice cfrom nearby. Busy paying for fuel, Chloe did not pay much attention to it. The
girl's mother looked at Jasper with delight.
"Hello, young man. | often see the teacher praising you in our class group."
Jasper maintained a distant expression. "Hello."
"I hear that you have excellent grades in all subjects. Who are the tutors your family hired for you?"
"I don't have tutors," he replied truthfully.
The mother's smile wavered. Her expression bore a hint of suspicion. "Does your family not allow you to talk
about it? It's okay, you can tell me. | promise not to tell anyone."
Jasper's impatience grew. "I've never had tutors. Whether you believe it or not is up to you."
"You sure have an attitude! You expectto believe that you don't have a tutor and yet your grades are so
impressive? Lies cout of your mouth so easily despite your young age.”
The woman scoffed. Her own daughter had tutoring classes three days a week and attended extracurricular
classes, yet her grades barely made it to the top five. It was incredibly hard to believe that this child could

"Do you have any evidence to prove that I'm lying? Or are you simply maliciously attacking my achievements
out of jealousy?" Jasper's displeasure was evident on his cold and stern face.
The woman sneered. "Your anger is the best evidence."
"Don't you get angry when others doubt you? Should we remain as emotionless as a log? You're as dumb as they
come," Jasper retorted, no longer interested in entertaining this boring woman.
As he turned to head back to the car, the furious woman grabbed his arm. She commanded in a voice dripping
with malice, "Apologize right now, or you'll regret it."
How dare this boy curse at her. Was he looking for trouble?
The woman's grip hurt Jasper, and he retaliated by biting her hand.
"Ow, ow!"
The gas station filled with the woman's pained shouts. They echoed like the sounds of a pig being slaughtered.
Chloe, just having paid, returned and spotted the crying woman as the bystanders scolded Jasper. She pushed
through the crowd and looked at him sternly. "What happened?"
