Hiding within a cloud was Zach, using his ability to know everything that happened with the Reality Marble that he had created. He had other abilities too, but none were as powerful as Reality Marble, since it complemented Jionerd's ability the best.
Reality Marble worked by constructing a scene of his imagination. If he didn't wish to do that, he could simply reconstruct a scene from reality that he had witnessed. The grander the scene, the greater his energy consumption.
So, he typically created a Reality Marble that was a perfect replica of reality. This way, even if someone ventured into his domain, they wouldn't realise what had happened. And, irrespective of the destruction caused here, there won't be anything in reality.
Unfortunately, he could only do this for inanimate objects. That's why he joined hands with Jionerd whose summons could be integrated into his Reality Marble to create an endless stream of soldiers.
Jionerd was an actual young master, the only son of a business tycoon that dabbled in electronics, real estate, restaurant, clothes, and even smuggling. So, everything that he had once owned was converted into his asset by the Young Master System.
It instantly made him overpowered since he could summon the guards that his family had maintained before the apocalypse. And, they weren't real people but part of his ability. So, no matter how many times they died, he could common them again.
And the best of them was the fact that while summoned, they were as real as a living breathing human. So, he retained plenty of 'advantages' thanks to that.
When he was hungry, he simply summoned the chefs to prepare food, maids to take care of his needs, etc. And, as the entirety of his family's wealth was converted into his asset, he was able to generate every weapon/utensil/clothes/jewellery, etc. that his family owned.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThanks to that, whenever the situation necessitated, his maids could casually pull out weapons from out of nowhere. When combined with Zach's Reality Marble, they became a terrifying duo. It was also to note that the people he summoned were capable of gaining experience.
So, the longer they fought, the more experienced they became. And through the trail of blood and death, Jionerd turned them into veterans.
Due to how well their two abilities worked together, Compass Carburettor took the initiative to target them. From the moment he learned of their identities through Directional Misalignment System, he had been aiming for these two abilities.
He felt that they suited his needs a lot.
Upon seeing the nightly figure of Compass Carburettor jut about from one side to another, Zach gritted his teeth, thinking of other means to destroy him. After all, it did require a lot of brainpower to quickly alter terrains.
And, he didn't wish to just waste the energy that he had worked hard to accumulate. He had an energy medium similar to Shika that he relied upon to activate his Reality Marble.
Suddenly, the figure of Compass Carburettor flashed his way, quickly closing in on his location in a matter of seconds.
In his hurry, Zach altered his location, turning the cloud into the cliff of a mountain that enclosed upon the moving river below like a cavern.
Compass Carburettor hurriedly stopped his approach as he was met with a rocky layer between him and Zach. He instantly bombarded the area with his feathers, boring his way through it when Zach snapped his fingers, causing the holes to instantly recover, causing his efforts to become fruitless.
In the meantime, Jionerd had boarded a helicopter that began to take him to one corner of the Reality Marble, intending to put as much distance between him and Compass Carburettor as possible.
In the meantime, his guards strapped jet packs onto their bodies in groups of two and took off to the skies, holding machine guns in their hands. They chased after Compass Carburettor, spamming bullets in his direction.
The sounds of explosions resounded in every direction as bullets and feathers slammed into one another.
Suddenly, Compass Carburettor paused mid-flight, uttering, "Phew, it's done!"
His words resounded across the Reality Marble, causing the hearts of Jionerd and Zach to palpitate in fear when they heard him snap his fingers, following the same action that they had done till now.
"Gaaah!"
"Ack!"
At the same time, Jionerd and Zach collapsed to the ground as they coughed out blood, shouting at the same time mentally, 'System! Save me!'
Bang! Bang!
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmRight at this time, two bullets slammed into the bodies of each, numbing them as their Systems failed to take action, for the time being, struggling while their body disintegrated.
From the start, the entire battle was to buy time until his Dust Wave filled the entirety of the Reality Marble's space. He only spread them out without designating anyone as enemies, waiting for enough quantity of them to be inhaled by the System Hosts.
When air was inhaled into the lungs, blood would mix into the intake air that would then be supplied by the heart through the rest of the body. And with the Dust Wave mixing through them, they were like viruses.
Until coming into contact with a host, a virus was no different to dirt, not alive. When coming into contact with a living organism, the virus comes alive and feasts on the target cells while multiplying in numbers.
The Dust Wave was unable to multiply in numbers like a virus, but the rest of its property was more or less the same. And since they weren't harmful to the Host body, their respective Systems hadn't noticed/taken action.
Or rather, Compass Carburettor was going full throttle against them that they had to pay attention to his attacks and ensure nothing unexpected happens to their Hosts. So, they didn't have the leeway to think about anything else.
In a confrontation against a System, there should be at least three to four layers of approach to each action. This way, even if something went amiss, there would be back plans, backups to the backup plans, and so on.
A hail of feathers flew through the sky, splitting into two as they homed in on both the targets. Even though the Dust Wave was powerful, he controlled their intensity, only making part of it take action first. After all, System Hosts were immune to instant death attacks.
He had to gradually push them towards death. And the first step of that was to pressure them both externally and internally. Also, by using Directional Misalignment, he made their hands move against them, choking them, making it a three-pronged attack: External, Internal, and Self.
Using the chance when the opponent's System was incapable of taking action due to the bullets he shot from Anthozoa, Compass Carburettor arrived before Jionerd, vanishing suddenly.
