Two intertwined figures burst into David's line of sight, catching him off guard. His pupils narrowed, and his fingers gripped the sofa's armrest in shock. Affairs between adults was nothing new, but it had to be Eliza. It felt like a knife twisted in his heart.
She was his elusive crush, the one he had longed to see but never dared approach for years. She shouldn't... At least, not with someone like Casper. His fantasy shattered in a heartbeat, but the lingering warmth scorched him. Blinking away the sting in his eyes, he averted his gaze and downed the red wine in one gulp.
The affair in the restroom continued. Casper pinned Eliza down, shifting positions, and she slapped him. "Casper, have you had enough?" Casper, high on adrenaline, sobered up a bit from the slap. His flushed face turned icy. "Are you addicted to hitting me?" He lifted her and pressed her against the cold wall, a mix of menace and desire in his voice. "Hitagain, and I'll end you." "There are guests outside, do you really not care about your reputation?" She wasn't sure how to make him stop, so she reluctantly wrapped her arms around his neck, pleading softly, "Please, stop." Eliza knew Casper was a tough nut to crack. If she caused a scene, he would go all out, and she would end up hurt. "Alright?" She looked up at him with watery eyes, like a fragile flower battered by a storm. He softened, "For your plea, I'll let you go." Eliza scrambled off him, hastily fixing her clothes in the mirror. The scent of their sex clung to her. She splashed water on her face. Casper leaned against the wall behind her, arms crossed, watching her with a faint smirk. If she hadn't pleaded, he would have continued until he was satisfied. Eliza fled the restroom.
David was not on the sofa. He had probably gone. Instead, Faithe sat there, leisurely munching on fruit. "Done?" Faithe, legs crossed, snorted lightly. "David probably saw you and Mr. Casper busy in there, drank a lot, and staggered off." Had David seen them? Not surprising Casper pinning her in the toilet was just to let David see.
Casper always used such underhanded methods to get at others.
Eliza remained composed, unshaken by Faithe's words. "Since the contract is signed, I'll be leaving." Her calmness was almost too much.
Faithe glanced at her sideways, thinking about how shameless Eliza was. Dropping the unfinished peanuts, Faithe asked, "Did Mr. Casper tell you?"
