"I know that it seems impossible, and if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes all those years ago, I wouldn't have believed it either. Because of this, all I ask of you is to have a little bit more patience. When the family head is ready, he will call you and explain everything himself. ''

''Dear, you said that he is currently resting. Why does it take the family head so long to call us?'' Thalia pondered this question after becoming aware of something.

Cael sighed, noticing that this detail had not escaped his wife's notice. ''After the match, he is taking the time to stabilize his power. ''

''He is stabilizing his power? For what? OH!! Did he finally win the match and advance to the A-Rank?'' Arden thought of the one and only reason that came to his mind, and he asked with great enthusiasm.

The Demugen family was already at the bottom of the social hierarchy among the ruling families, and they desperately needed a high rank to hold this position as soon as possible and to rise even higher. It was a great joy and relief for him that the family leader could finally become a high-rank after many years of hard work.

However, his excitement and joy were completely extinguished by Cael's subsequent words.

''No. He lost the match. ''

''Why does he need to stabilize his powers, then? '' Thalia rephrased her question as her unease increased.

''Because… '' Cael's demeanor changed to one of solemnity, and his voice took on an air of sadness tinged with anger.  "Other families betrayed us, and during the match, our family leader... he died. ''

''No way! '' When Thalia realized her worst fears had been realized, she cried out in agony.

''Damn, they just couldn't wait any longer and finally made their move, huh? Shit… Shit… Now, there is no longer any chance that my father will ever achieve a high rank in his lifetime. '' After hearing the news, Zephyr said while punching the wall in frustration.

Dying during a match did not mean that an item holder would actually die, but for a B-Rank item holder like the family leader to die during the match was the worst thing that could happen, and with that death, he lost so many things, and his dream of becoming a high-rank was completely destroyed.

"What are we going to do now? It is only a matter of time before we completely lose everything at this point. '' Seren's voice was filled with gloom as she said it.

The fact that the head of the family, who had been working hard for many years, had suddenly lost everything caused her a great deal of grief. Additionally, it was only a matter of time before their family lost their status as a ruling family, and with that came the loss of everything they had worked on up until now.

Suddenly, Raydon was no longer the center of attention; rather, everyone's attention was riveted on the anxious consideration of what they could do to prevent this catastrophe from befalling their family.

While everyone was thinking gloomily in sadness, a deep sigh echoed throughout the room, jolting everyone out of their reverie.

''It is very disheartening to see everyone in such a state of despair. ''

''Father? '' Cael looked up as soon as he heard the weary voice speak.

Even though the head of the family was nowhere in sight and his voice was the only thing that could be heard in the room, everyone else, with the exception of Cael, Arden, and Zephyr, was kneeling down to pay their respects.

''Gather everyone in the underground room. ''

''Yes, Father. '' Cael bowed his head in acknowledgment of the order.

"And do not forget to bring my grandson with you," the voice uttered one final time, its tone laden with weariness. Then, in an instant, all echoes ceased, as if the voice had never existed at all.

Cael was taken aback for a split second by the other order that was given. After that, he turned his head and looked at the figure of Raydon, who had already reached level 10 and was continuing to destroy the stones with the same level of performance.

''Yes, Father. ''

''I can't believe this. I didn't even know that the formation's maximum difficulty level was 10. '' When Galen noticed that the formation had completely stopped and that no new stones were forming, he muttered.

''It's a good dagger,'' Raydon said as he slowly left the formation, tossing his dagger into the air and catching it.

''Young master. ''

After stowing the blue-grade dagger in his dimensional storage for future examination, Raydon turned his attention towards the direction of Mell's voice.

''Oh, thanks. ''

Raydon was taken aback when he noticed Mell bowing her head and respectfully offering him a towel with both hands.

The restraint Diam had placed on their bodies had already been removed, but they had been staring fixedly at Raydon's performance with all of their attention up until this point, without making a sound or moving an inch.

Mell eventually snapped out of the trance she had been in when the formation came to a complete stop. She realized she had regained control of her body, and as soon as she noticed the sweat running down Raydon's brow, she dashed to get a towel.

The reason for her behavior was not to apologize to Raydon for her previous behavior or to make him forgive her. It was a natural phenomenon that developed purely out of the incredible respect she felt at this moment.

When Mell heard Raydon thank her and saw that he accepted the towel, she wanted to thank him too, but she couldn't manage to utter a word. All she could do was raise her head a little and take a quick glance at his indifferent-looking face.

Gone was any trace of contempt or disgust that may have lingered in her eyes before. In its place, there dwelled a deep reverence and respect—a reverence that surpassed her regard for other young masters or even esteemed elders, perhaps even surpassing her reverence for the family head.
