He grabbed the pilot he’d thrown down earlier, following Estelle’s escape route. The two of them charged with lightning speed, catching their adversaries off-guard and causing disarray. However, the enemies were outnumbered after all, and Estelle and Josiah, one shielding Amiee and the other carrying the pilot, were quickly caught up. But it seemed they didn’t want Estelle dead; they encircled her, intent on capturing rather than killing her. While they hesitated to kill Estelle, they showed no mercy to Josiah, focusing their fire on him. Estelle, realizing they dared not kill her, tried to get closer to Josiah, providing him with smeasure of protection. Suddenly, Josiah was hit in the arm, and he and the pilot tumbled forward. “Josiah!” Amiee cried out, running towards him. Estelle, covering Amiee, fired her machine gun at the pursuing guards with deadly accuracy. After four or five guards were down, two lieutenants becfurious, “Did Raiden specifically say to keep her alive?” “No, if possible, keep her, but if not, just shoot her!” the bearded leader commanded coldly. The two leaders exchanged a grim look and no longer held back, firing brutally at Estelle. Bullets whizzed by Estelle’s cheek as she dodged.
