Chapter 14
“Huh?” Estelle got a little confused and quickly said, “I didn’t laugh!”
Jonathan raised his eyebrows, “Are you afraid of me? You’re Norah’s classmate and Henson’s tutor,
you can call me ‘Uncle’ just like them. I’m always kind and gentle to the younger ones”
Estelle wanted to laugh even more, but pretended to be calm and nodded, “Alright.”
Jonathan’s gaze swept across her face, and he looked forward again, speaking. “If you bump into
Lucille again, just ignore her.”
Estelle looked innocent, “She was blocking my way.”
Jonathan said, “Aren’t you good at kicking people?”
Estelle raised her eyebrows, “I can kick Ms. Hammer too?”
Jonathan’s voice was emotionless, “Of course, you can kick her and I’ll handle the consequences!”
Handle the consequences?
Estelle slightly raised one eyebrow. This sentence revealed his previous way of handling things!
Jonathan was probably afraid that she would overthink, so he added, “After all, I was the one who
caused trouble for you, so naturally, I should deal with it.”
Estelle looked at the man’s exquisite jaw. Was he implying she could do whatever she wanted?
There was a moment of silence in the car, and then Jonathan asked, “How much money do you want
from me?” Estelle was taken aback but quickly understood. She had asked Lucille if she would offer
more money. She replied calmly, “Norah said it’s a thousand per class, and if my salary is paid by Mr.
Lamont, you have to pay me 8,000 a month.”
Jonathan nodded, “Then you made quite a deal asking for a billion!”
Indeed, even if Estelle tutored Henson until he went to college, she wouldn’t earn a billion.
Estelle smiled in disappointment, “It’s a pity,”
The man asked, “What’s the pity?”
“It’s a pity that Ms. Hammer didn’t give it up.”
Jonathan paused for a moment, “……”

grudge-holding and sharp-tongued girl who wouldn’t miss any opportunity to make fun of him.
Estelle turned to look at the scenery outside the window, a slight smile forming at the corner of her lips,
inexplicably in a good mood.
On Monday, there was a bustling crowd at the entrance of the University of J City, with people coming
and going.
In a Maybach, Lucille sat in the back seat, staring outside until she spotted Estelle, she immediately
turned to the man next to her and said, “It’s her, Estelle, a third-year student studying Business
Management at the University of J City.”
The man looked up, followed Lucille’s direction, and saw the girl at a glance.
She was wearing a simple white shirt, light-colored jeans with rolled-up cuffs, and white shoes
underneath.
What caught people’s eyes was not her attractive features but her cleanliness, giving off a feeling of
innocent at first glance.
Maybe others would be amazed, but not Manley Scott, who had seen countless beauties. He just gave
a cold smile and said, “It’s Monday, I have an important meeting in the morning. Did you pull me here
just to see a girl?”
Lucille didn’t waste any words either and said directly, “Get her, and I’ll give up the two percent of
shares that the Scott family offers.”
Lucille is the daughter of Manley’s aunt. The Scott family’s old man left a will, and two percent of the
shares would be given to Lucille, his granddaughter, after he died.
The two percent was worth hundreds of billions.
Manley’s handsome face finally showed a hint of astonishment, and he looked at the girl again, raising
a disapproving eyebrow, “Is she worth that much money?”
Lucille’s beautiful face showed determination, “Will you do it or not?”
Manley smiles wickedly. “Well, of course, I’ll get both the beauty and the money, where else can I find
such a good deal?”
Lucille looked at him, “How long will it take to win her over?”
Manley’s face was full of self-assurance as he answered, “At most three days, I’ll have her in my bed
Lucille nodded, “Alright, show me a picture then, and I’ll sign the agreement to give up the shares.”
“Deal!”
Isis had something to do today, so she left after finishing her morning classes. There’s an authentic
pasta restaurant in the street alley near noon, and Estelle and Isis are regular customers there.
After having lunch by herself that day, Estelle was stopped by a few girls at the alley exit.
One of them, dressed in jeans, stood in the front, staring at Estelle coldly, “Brooke is still in the hospital,
do you think it’s all over?”
Estelle didn’t change her expression, “What do you want?”
The girl said coldly. “Go slap yourself in front of Brooke’s hospital bed and apologize. If Brooke feels
satisfied, we’ll let it go!”
Estelle looked at her calmly, “And what if I don’t?”
“You tell me,” a girl behind her took a step forward, holding a baseball bat, and looked threateningly at
Estelle.
Estelle’s eyes grew cold. “Since you’re so close to Brooke, how about I send you all to the hospital to
keep her company?”
“You’re asking for trouble!” The girl with the baseball bat showed a fierce expression and swung the bat
towards Estelle’s head.
Estelle was about to raise her leg when suddenly an arm stretched out and caught the bat. A man
wearing a light blue shirt revealed a white wrist as delicate as a woman’s.
At the same time, a mocking voice said, “So many people bullying one person. Have you got no
shame?”
Estelle turned her head and saw a man standing beside her. He was tall, with skin even paler than the
woman’s, slightly slanted foxlike eyes, and a faint smile on his red lips, but emanating an air of
wickedness. After saying that, he swung the bat with the hand grabbing it, and coldly spat out a word,
“Off!” The girls were initially stunned by the man’s beauty, but when their companion stumbled from

away, their expressions changed. The girl in denim clothes flickered her gaze and said, “Mind your own
business!”
The man smiled sardonically, his cold face showing disdain, “I’m not interested in other people’s
business. Just hers.”
The girl in denim frowned. “Who are you to her?”
The man stood in front of Estelle, turned back to look at her, and smiled charmingly, “Her boyfriend!”
Estelle looked at him, her eyes as clear and calm as ever, like a mountain spring. Seemingly gentle and
fluid, but also cool and sharp.
Seeing the man so confident and displaying his wealth, the girls across couldn’t figure out his identity
and spoke a little softer, “She broke our friend’s leg and must apologize!”
“Your friend?” the man squinted.
The girl immediately answered with some pride, “Yeah, Brooke. Her dad is the chairman of the Hi-Co
Group.”
The man suddenly laughed, a taunting and disdainful laugh, “I thought it was someone important. If my
girlfriend apologizes to Murray’s daughter, it might scare Murray to death!”
The girls were taken aback, and the one holding the baseball bat whispered something to the girl
wearing a denim jacket. Her face changed, from surprise to fear and confusion as she looked at the
man standing in front of Estelle and then suspiciously at Estelle.
No wonder Estelle rejected Saul. It turned out…
“Let’s forget about what happened today.” The girl in the denim jacket said, her voice clearly losing its
confidence. She took a few steps back, gave a signal to the other girls, and then left.
A trace of astonishment flickered in Estelle’s eyes, but she didn’t inquire further. After they were gone,
she turned back to the man and said, “Thank you!”
Her tone was genuine, and she was about to return to school.
The man, with his hands in his pockets, looked at the delicate profile of the young girl and lightly
smiled, “I saved you, and all I get is just a thank you?”
