Chapter 216 Natalia Oh, Tess and her big mouth! She completely ignored Hamilton. "I can't afford a chauffeur like Mr. Fowler!" Hamilton quickly got out of the car and caught up to her.
"It's on the house." Natalia glared at him. "Hamilton, do you really have this much free time?" Hamilton just hummed in response.
He figured he could make stif he really wanted to.
Worst case, he'd just sleep a little less.
Natalia knew all too well how busy Ivy Gemstone could get.
"I really don't need you drivingaround, plus it's not fitting." The idea of the head of the Fowler family playing chauffeur for her was something she didn't want to becthe talk of the town.
Hamilton seemed to anticipate her refusal.
"I'll drive tonight, and later on, I'll find someone for you, okay? Don't just hire someone off the street, you never know if they're reliable." Natalia bit her lip, "I'll be careful to vet them thoroughly before hiring." Hamilton watched her quietly for a moment, then just nodded.
"So, I'll be your driver tonight." Without waiting for Natalia's response, he led her to the car.
Arriving at the restaurant, Natalia tried to get out.
Hamilton grabbed her hand again. "I haven't eaten either." Natalia "Let's eat together." His statement was more an announcement than a request.
Without waiting for her reply, he headed into the restaurant.
Ronin had chosen a Western-style restaurant.
At the entrance, Natalia hesitated. "If you don't like the food, you can go back. I can take a cab home." Hamilton just gave her a look and entered the restaurant.
Natalia stood outside for a few seconds before following him in.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtSeeing Hamilton, Ronin's face was full of disdain.
"Mr. Fowler sure has a lot of free time, crashing someone else's dinner. People might think the Fowler family has gone bankrupt." Hamilton just scoffed and said nothing.
He pulled out a chair for Natalia and then sat down beside her.
Natalia shot him a glare but said no more.
Hamilton wasn't a fan of steak, but ordered one anyway.
Once the steak arrived, he cut it with meticulous care.
His movements were graceful, attracting attention even in such an upscale place.
After cutting, he pushed the plate towards Natalia and naturally took the untouched steak from in front of her for himself.
Natalia paused, gripping her cutlery a bit tighter.
Ronin, somewhat annoyed by the scene, joked, "Nice cutting skills, Mr. Fowler. Care to cut mine too?" Hamilton gave him a look. "Mr. Joyner, can't do it yourself?" Ronin scoffed, "All this show for Natalia, aren't you worried your first love might get jealous?" Hamilton's gaze darkened. He put down his cutlery and picked up a napkin, wiping his hands slowly.
"Ronin, how are you any better? Don't you have a Thalia by your side too?" After Hamilton's remark, Natalia slammed her cutlery down.
"Anyone who doesn't want to eat can leave!" Both men shut up, and Natalia took a deep breath before starting to eat.
Ronin wanted to discuss the grand opening of Ron Group.
Business folks are superstitious, and although Ron Group had been operating, the grand opening hadn't happened yet.
Mason had consulted an expert for a good date, which was set for early next month.
As the head of the company, Natalia had many decisions to make.
She and Ronin were deep in discussion when Hamilton, arms crossed and brooding, finally spoke up. "Does Ron Group want that plot in NorthSuburb?" Natalia froze.
Ron Group indeed wanted that plot, but it was firmly in the hands of the Brown family.
Due to spast friction with Gideon Chappelle, Natalia couldn't even get a meeting with them.
Hamilton raised an eyebrow at Natalia.
"I can get you a meeting with the Brown family." Natalia looked at him, pausing before asking, "What's your price this time, Mr. Fowler?" Hamilton's eyes flickered.
"Tend to my wound every day until it heals." Ronin internally cursed Hamilton for being shameless.
He must have had a good grasp of Ron Group's situation, waiting for Natalia to hit a snag so he could step in and make his demands.
This man truly had no shame, taking advantage of the situation.
"No need!" Ronin immediately rejected the offer.
But Natalia agreed after a moment, "Alright." Ronin was stunned, glaring at Natalia.
"Natalia, it's not like we absolutely need that plot, right?" Natalia smiled. "Mr. Joyner, I make the calls on branch operations." Ronin wasn't aware of the bet agreement she had with Mason, where that plot was crucial.
Ronin felt frustrated.
Hamilton just smirked at him.
After dinner, Natalia went back to the hospital.
She wanted to spend as much tas possible with Tatiana.
After taking Natalia to the hospital, Hamilton didn't rush off right away.

Once he saw Natalia disappear into litg the admissions department, he bowed his head and lit a cigarette, taking his twith it. It was only after he finished that he noticed Natalia's phone had been left in his car. He glanced at the phone, picked it up, and made his way upstairs. Tatiana must have caught up on ssleep during the day, so she was surprisingly alert that night.
Natalia, sitting by her side, whispered about the events of the past few years.
She skillfully skirted around any mention of Hamilton and the details of their relationship.
Tatiana was all ears, soaking in every word.
Suddenly, as if struck by a thought, Tatiana squeezed Natalia's hand and Red Natalja's h asked in a raspy voice, "Did Natalia ever get married?" Natalia paused, then chuckled, "No, Mom, I'm not married. But I did have a relationship." Standing at the doorway, Hamilton's grip on the phone tightened involuntarily as he overheard Natalia's words.
But then, he heard her continue, "It was with a guy from college, Ryan. But we split up due to certain reasons." "Mom, I'm not really looking to date right now. I just want to take good care of you." A tear trickled down Tatiana's cheek.
Natalia knew that her mother felt guilty, as if she was a burden.
With a laugh meant to comfort, Natalia was about to say more when she heard a voice.
"Mr. Fowler, what brings you here so late again?" Startled, Natalia turned to see Hamilton standing outside.
The expression on his face was hard to read, his gaze intense.
After telling Tatiana she'd be right back, Natalia stepped out and closed the door behind her before asking, "Why did you cback up?" Hamilton extended the phone towards her.
"You left it in the car." Only then did Natalia remember she hadn't seen her phone since returning.
"Thank you." As she reached for the phone, Hamilton held onto it firmly.
"Natalia, can't you even bear to mentionin front of your mom?"
