to get hurt. We aren’t much different after all”
“No, | would never hurt her, and maybe you are right; we aren’t much different after all, but let's not pretend like

He was right; | couldn't do a thing. | could not help him, and yet | wanted to hear his answer, maybe because |
wanted to remind him that | wasn’t the only selfish person here or because | wanted to feel less guilty about
what | was doing.

“Yes,” | answered, hopeful.

“You jerk. Do you know what it tookto chere? was worried about you; Logan didn’t care if you died.”

| was completely speechless. | couldn't hold back the tears; | turned away from him and walked away.

“There is no need for that; you will remain here.” Thane stood to his feet and walked to me. “Don’t you dare
barge into my office next time; your place is my bedroom, and your duty is to be my fuck thing whenever | want
you to be, but for now, | see no use for you, so go back to the bedroom, and we will talk
later.”
