Isabella attempted pulling away from him, just for my benefit, but he wouldn't let her go; he held onto her,
kissing her. His hands ran down her body, the want in his eyes evident— No, this wasn’t him; it was his wolf, and
I knew that, yet | couldn't stop the tears. | should leave; | shouldn't witness this, but | couldnt bring myself to
move. | watched him rip her clothes off, and finally she pulled him back.
“Thane!” she called this tlouder.
She wanted it; | could see it in her eyes, and | could smell it in the air, but she was doing this because she
wanted to be friends; the problem was... it couldn't work.
Thane blinked. “Isabella?” he called.
“Guess | was wrong,” she muttered, her breath still raspy.
Thane’s gaze met mine; | could see the silent apology and instant regret in his eyes. | took a step back, followed
by another, and then | was running. | didn’t know exactly where | was heading to, but all | knew was that | had to
be far away, far away from Isabella and far away from... him.
