Chapter 1375
Nina was about to put down the knife and head outside when Nash stopped her. "You still need to wash your
hands. It's a hassle. I'll go get it."
"It's in my backpack. Just unzip it, and you'll find it," Nina replied, completely unguarded. She had nothing to
hide, so she wasn't worried about him going through her bag.
Nash left the kitchen and, along with Orion, made his way to the entrance. "Hey, buddy, do you want to share
how the singing competition went today?"
"Sure! Mom was amazing! Everyone was clapping for her!" Orion excitedly shared. He thought his mom was not
only the prettiest but also incredibly kind. Unlike many of his classmates, he had never been scolded!
A smile spread across Nash's face as he unzipped the bag and quickly found the two stickers. He handed them to
Orion and placed the bag on the rack. As he turned to head back, Orion accidentally stepped on a shoe nearby
and almost fell. Nash rushed to catch him, but in the process, he accidentally knocked over Nina's bag, spilling

Hearing the commotion, Mrs. Watson, cover and scooped up Orion. Nash bent down to pick up the scattered
items and soon noticed a piece of paper next to the lipstick.
He didn't want to invade Nina's privacy, but since the note was already out in the open, he reached for it and
saw the words written on it.
In an instant, Nash's expression turned serious. The note was filled with threatening language, and at the
bottom, it was signed by a mysterious organization.
This was a blatant provocation! He needed to act quickly and uncover who was behind this before they could
threaten Nina and the kids.
"Dinner's ready! Ceat!" Nina called out as she brought the dishes to the table.
Orion ran over excitedly and sat down, calling out, "Dad, hurry up and eat!"
"I'll be right there," Nash replied, discreetly tucking the note away before gathering the scattered items back into
the bag. He walked briskly to the dining table.
During dinner, he didn't mention the
note, not wanting to spoil the
family's mood. As the man of the house, he felt it was his
responsibility to handle these issues alone.

Meanwhile, since that night, Lydia had locked herself in her downtown apartment spending most of her time
staring blankly at the walls. Only when she felt starving would she force herself to eat something.
She hadn't reached out to anyone, except for a few messages to her parents, and had no other communication
with anyone else.

That was until Eugene knocked on her door.
Lydia didn't want to see him at all and chose to ignore the persistent knocking, pretending not to hear.
But Eugene had checked the security footage beforehand, knowing she hadn't left her apartment for days. Since
she refused to open the door, he continued knocking.
The sound of his knocking felt like an insistent spell, annoying Lydia to no end. It even drew the attention of the
neighbor, who cout to scold Eugene.
"Are you crazy? A few knocks are
enough! You've been at it for almost twenty minutes! When will you stop? If she's not opening the door, it means
no one's home! Are you out of your mind?"
"No, she's home," Eugene insisted, stubbornly remaining at the door.
His persistence only fueled the neighbor's anger further.
