Chapter 2301 - As Expected, Lin Jianxing

Tianming didn’t even have time to register Yi Zhuojun’s totems before he tore a hole in the beasts’ defenses.

“Stop there, Qi Xuanzi!” Yi Zhuojun roared. Tianming couldn’t see what was going on there, but Yin Chen told him Yi Zhuojun had caught up to Qi Xuanzi and was currently engaged in a fierce battle with him by the pillar. Qi Xuanzi had three low-sanctuary-class warbeasts. Low-sanctuary-class warbeasts were equal to orderans and were quite strong, if compared to the minor reges mundi ranking.

“Those two are really intense.” Tianming wanted to go over as well, but the other ebon disciples were glaring at him and Dongshen Xiaoli. The strongest two even brought their warbeasts along to gang up on Lin Jianxing. After letting Yi Zhuojun pass, there was no way they would let Lin Jianxing pass as well. As for the remaining two, they kept their attention on Tianming, Dongshen Xiaoli, and Lin Linglin.

The situation seemed to have entered a stalemate where no one could get a walnut. However, the ebons had just too many beasts. A dozen split off from the battle and arrived at the pillar of light.

This time, Tianming saw it clearly. As soon as those warbeasts touched the green light, they were immediately shredded into mincemeat. Gore splattered everywhere.

The ebons’ hearts ached, but they didn’t stop. Warbeasts being unable to pass didn’t mean they couldn’t.

“You’re so annoying.” Qi Xuanzi made his three low-sanctuary-class wildbeasts surround Yi Zhuojun while he went to seize the items first.

However, Yi Zhuojun only had eyes for Qi Xuanzi. He ignored the warbeasts chasing him and went straight for the infinite beastmaster controlling them. After all, it had just been proven that warbeasts couldn’t grab the walnuts.

On the other side, two ebon disciples who were ranked in the three and four hundreds brought along their warbeasts as they besieged Lin Jianxing.

“They’re in a deadlock.” Although the fight was fierce, Tianming could see that neither Qi Xuanzi nor Yi Zhuojun could gain an advantage.

“If I suddenly burst out with power and rushed over, no one could stop me!” That was the advantage of being underestimated. Tianming said to his lifebound beasts, “Get ready!”

His menagerie of monsters was raring to go.

The one blocking Tianming was an ebon disciple ranked lower than seven hundredth place. He also had a companion that was leading a low-sanctuary-class warbeast in Dongshen Xiaoli’s direction.

“Cousin, hide behind me!” Dongshen Xiaoli shouted.

“Just take care of yourself!” Tianming promptly vanished, much to her surprise.

“Think you can leave?” The ebon disciple’s gaze followed Tianming as he and his warbeasts gave chase. The ebon disciple probably thought he had the easiest mission with how many warbeasts he had.“You must be Lin Mu’s son. Don’t run!”

As Tianming moved, countless abilities rained down on him. The ebon was an orderan and his order crushed down on Tianming, making him unable to throw off his pursuit for the time being; he had no choice but to take him down first. A glance at his disciple card appraised Tianming of his opponent.

“Cao Tama?” The Cao Clan was quite a large clan within the ebons.

For a speedy resolution, Tianming only summoned Ying Huo, Meow Meow, and Ji Ji. Hefting the Grand-Orient Sword, he charged toward his opponent.

The burly disciple of the ebon race was dressed in black and had eyes as black as ink. Gray mist wafted around him and death ki shrouded his body like a walking corpse. Tianming also smelled the stench of a rotting corpse. The quality of his warbeasts was roughly on par with Qi Qiling, with one low-sanctuary-class warbeast and around a dozen deific-class warbeasts. The deific-class warbeasts were in charge of acting as a wall to block Tianming, while Cao Tama and his low-sanctuary-class warbeast shot forward in a direct frontal assault.

Although the warbeast was the weakest of its level, its bloodline and appearance were still frightening. It was a centipede with over ten thousand segments, each with its own black eye on its back. The eyes weirdly swiveled while countless tentacles spewing out gray mist extended from its eye sockets.

Strangest of all to Tianming was the dragon-like head the centipede had.

It was like a mishmash of body parts! However, oftentimes, nova wildbeasts were stronger the more chaotic their body parts were.

This low-sanctuary-class warbeast was a myriadeye ghostdragon and was skilled in illusions and soul attacks. Just one glance from Tianming and the sight of all those swiveling eyes made him feel slightly dizzy.

The current Tianming wouldn’t fear the starvore frog anymore and could defeat Qi Qiling without breaking a sweat. However, Cao Tama had an order! It was called the deathly mists order. He directly used it and it turned into a gray sea that covered Tianming’s albi.

The gray mist seeped inside and quickly began to corrode and chew on his albi, bringing Tianming great pain.

“All orderans are troublesome. I have to quickly kill him!” Tianming launched himself at the dragon. Based on his calculations, if he quickly slew his opponent, he would be able to dominate unopposed in this stalemated battlefield.action

However, Lin Jianxing left him feeling a sense of unease. Tianming had never trusted him from the beginning, as he knew the beliefs of the reformists. He was certain Lin Jianxing would cause trouble no matter what Yi Zhuojun thought.

And just as he had expected, the situation greatly changed at this critical juncture. He hurriedly looked over. Lin Jianxing seemed to have reached an accord with his two opponents and the newly formed trio headed toward Yi Zhuojun!

“Oh, finally revealing yourself?” Tianming sneered. He had known from the start it wasn’t a five on five in this bees’ nest room, but a three on seven!
