John felt like thousands of wild horses were trampling his heart as he watched his leader surrender.

Didn't he say they would rather die than disgrace the gang's principles? Didn't he say they'd die trying?

Did he just fucking change his mind in a blink of an eye? Now that he could live, what would happen to him?

"Hey, didn't you say we'd die together? Why did you suddenly change your mind?" John was shocked.

"Hey man, don't blame me. I have a family to feed; I can't die yet. Besides, you're already infertile.

"There isn't a purpose to your life anymore. I'll take care of your siblings for you. You may leave in peace," The

stubbled man said compassionately.

"You asshole! You've betrayed our gang's principles! You should fucking die!" John was furious as he unsheathed his

knife and attempted to stab the stubbled man.

The stubbled man quickly reacted as he picked up a brick from the floor and aimed straight at John's head.

"Bam!" It was a muted but sickening sound.

The brick broke into pieces, and John's head fractured. Blood gushed out from his wound as he staggered around

dizzily before falling to the floor.

However, the stubbled man didn't stop. He continued to hit John's head with the brick.

"Die! You should die!" The stubbled man looked hateful as he delivered blow after blow with all his might.

Very soon, John had stopped breathing completely. His head looked like a smashed watermelon as his blood and

brain spilled out.

To make sure that John was really dead, the stubbled man picked up a knife and viciously stabbed it at John's heart

several times.

He only stopped after he was sure there was no way John would be alive.

"You even killed your men. You're really wicked," Dustin commented calmly.

"Every man for himself. If he didn't die, I'd be dead. He should have prepared himself when he decided to join the

gang." The stubbled man was breathless.

"You said it was Scott Mosey who hired you to do all this. Where is he now?" Dustin didn't beat around the bush and

went straight to the point.

"I wouldn't have any idea about this. He's our superior. Why would he tell us, the lowly gangsters, his whereabouts?"

The stubbled man shook his head.

"How do you contact each other then?" Dustin asked.

"Through his subordinates. They would contact us by phone. He'll pay when we send a picture showing that we

have completed the requested job.

"We never have to meet each other. It's convenient and safer this way," The stubbled man answered honestly.

"That's a very foolproof arrangement." Dustin narrowed his eyes.

It was obvious that this wasn't their first time working together. Scott must been used to hiring killers to take out his

opponents.

However, it was too bad that Scott was arrogant and underestimated Dustin.

"Good sir, now that I've told you everything I know, can I leave now?" The stubbled man said with a forced smile.

"My arm is severed, and I need to stop the bleeding. I need to rush to the hospital. If not, my life will be in danger."

"It's alright. Save yourself the trouble. I can help you," Dustin said calmly.

"What? Are you a doctor as well?" The stubbled man asked inquisitively.

"Not by trade. But I know a little." Dustin pointed his finger at the stubbled man's forehead as he spoke.

"Bam!" At the sound of an explosion, there was a hole that looked like a gunshot wound on the stubbled man's

forehead.

"Y-You broke your promise!"
