Chapter 915 With a lesson like that right in front of him, Cassius couldn't seem to take a hint.

What else could he do? "Yolanda is one of the most important people to Liz. She's practically family, and by extension, so am I. I don't want things to blow up so bad that we can't even be friends anymore." Remington's voice was low and firm as he spoke, turning on his heel to leave the room.

But his message was crystal clear: if Cassius hurt Yolanda, Remington would be in her corner, no questions asked.

As Remington's presence faded from the room, Cassius ground his teeth in frustration, a restless irritation gnawing at him.

He couldn't even finish applying the ointment he was using. Frustrated, he tossed aside the bottle and made his way out.

He pushed open the master bedroom door, where Yolanda lay fast asleep on the large bed.

Though asleep, she was anything but peaceful; the comforter lay crumpled on the floor, barely a corner left draped over her feet.

Her nightgown was all bunched up around her waist, leaving her long legs completely exposed.

Cassius sighed, walked over, and picked up the fallen comforter, tossing it back over the oblivious, yet trouble- prone, woman.

"Clueless woman, you're gonna end up freezing to death one day." Seeing no response from Yolanda and no signs of her waking, Cassius turned to leave.

But just as he turned, something landed at his feet with a soft thud.

Looking down, he saw it was the very scomforter he had just tossed over her.

"You're doing this on purpose, aren't you?" Cassius muttered, picking up the comforter, his voice tinged with irritation.

He assumed Yolanda was awake and just messing with him.

But when he turned back, he saw her legs twitching before she suddenly rolled towards the edge of the bed. "Oh, for crying out loud!" Cassius cursed under his breath and sprang forward, catching her just before she hit the ground.

The momentum sent them both rolling, and Cassius's head of the couch, earning a low grunt connected painfully with the Coet from him.

"Yolanda!" Cassius growled through gritted teeth.

But before he could push her off him, Yolanda's face contorted indiscomfort, like she was about to throw up.

Cassius was instantly seized by fear. She had already turned his car into a mess earlier today, and even after two showers and a dip in the pool, he couldn't shake the feeling of being covered in grime.

He couldn't handle another round of that.

Acting on instinct, Cassius clamped a hand over her mouth, trying to ver m prevent the disaster from repeating.

"Yolanda, you better cut it out. If you throw up onagain swear I'll toss you into the pool myself!" His outburst faded as he noticed the alarming shade of red creeping up Yolanda's face.

It hit him then — in his haste, he'd covered both her mouth and nose, leaving her gasping for air. And with her lying face down on him, she was suffocating.

Cassius hadn't realized just how small Yolanda's face was. One hand covered nearly half of it.

Just as he was about to release his grip, Yolanda's eyes flew open.

Their eyes locked, and for a fleeting moment, Cassius felt a flicker of nervousness.

In that instant, he forgot to move his hand.

Yolanda's expression shifted from confusion to fury in the blink of an eye.

Without hesitation, she drew her knee back and aimed a sharp blow at his most vulnerable spot.
