beta werewolf guards. He’d be held in a secure location going forward-his character simply couldn’t
be trusted. And Alpha Henry’s condition absolutely had to remain a secret.
By the tthe meeting wrapped up, the sky had already darkened. | returned to my room to rest. |
used to stay up late studying or doing research, but once Alpha Henry found out, he showed up in
person to stop me. He never said anything-he’d just stand there, silently staring.
And with the kind of pressure Alpha Henry gave off? Not one of the medics could bear it. Eventually,

After heading out, | grabbed a quick bite and went to wash up.

“You don’t look fine.” | frowned deeper at the clear discomfort on his face.
He shook his head again, but his complexion looked even worse than before.
| pressed my lips together, glanced down at the file in his hands, then bent over and scooped him up.
“What are you doing?!” Alpha Henry's usual calm shattered into shock.

Like he was enduring something unbearable.
“Lie down. Now,” | said sharply.
He didn’t say a word, but | knew what was happening.
