Chapter 487: Chapter 487: Sister, I'm Sorry, | Was Wrong!
Yan Xinxin finished the call and took the VIP elevator to the first floor.
July’s weather was stiflingly hot.
As she stepped out the main door, her gaze immediately landed on Yan Zhirou standing under a large tree not
far away.
Yan Xinxin walked over with an indifferent stride.
Seeing her approach, Yan Zhirou’s face lit up with joy and she eagerly moved toward her.
"Just say what you need to say directly. | still have work to do."
Yan Xinxin got straight to the point, unwilling to waste ton pleasantries.
What she didn’t expect was for Yan Zhirou to suddenly drop to her knees with a loud "thud" right in front of her.
"Sis! | know | was wrong! This time, | truly know | was wrong!"
Yan Zhirou sobbed and confessed regretfully.
The scene immediately drew the attention and stares of passersby.
"Yan Zhirou, are you trying to put on another show? | don’t have tto play along."

Yan Xinxin glanced at her briefly and decisively turned to leave.
"Sis!"
Yan Zhirou scrambled and crawled after her, grabbing Yan Xinxin’s hand with tearful despair written all over her
face.
"Sis, I'm truly here to apologize to you! | know that if it weren't for you pleading with Young Master Mo on my
behalf, | would've been sentenced! Sis, I'm sorry, | was wrong!"
Mo Chuxi, who had just returned from a business meeting with clients at an upscale club, caught sight of the
scene near the company’s entrance as he exited his car.
Yan Zhirou was kneeling on the ground, clutching Yan Xinxin’s hand while crying and yelling.
Mo Chuxi’s brows furrowed sharply, his thin lips parting slightly.
"Stop the car."
"Understood, Young Master Mo."
Ah Ding complied immediately, but before he could disembark to open the door for his boss, Mo Chuxi had
already stepped out and walked over.
"Yan Zhirou, | don’t need your apology, nor do | believe your so-called sincerity. If you're trying to use this
method to trapagain, save yourself the trouble. No matter what, | will not trust you!"
"No! Sis! | truly cto admit my wrongdoing. | won't do anything to hurt you anymore. | just want you to know
that I've sincerely repented. I'm now working at the Xiao Group. From now on, | just want to earn money and
take care of Mom and Dad..."
"Let go of your filthy hand immediately."
Yan Zhirou’s tearful plea was abruptly cut off by an unfamiliar voice.
Under the blazing summer sun, his voice carried a piercing chill, like a sudden gust of cold air.
Yan Zhirou’s small frshuddered instinctively. She let go of Yan Xinxin’s hand out of fear.
"Young Master Mo, | was wrong! | truly chere today to apologize to my sister. | won't stir up trouble again.
And thank you for your magnanimity in lettinggo. I..."
"If you're done, then get lost. Don’t bother Xinxin again."
Mo Chuxi dismissed her coldly.
With impeccable timing, he extended his hand and clasped Yan Xinxin’s.
Yan Xinxin froze momentarily, attempting to withdraw her hand, but Mo Chuxi held her tightly.
"Still not leaving?"
He cast a disdainful glare at the bewildered Yan Zhirou.
"Yes, yes, I'll leave immediately! Sis, please trust me. | truly understand my mistakes. Young Master Mo—no,
brother-in-law—I wish you and my sister a happy life together!"
After stammering out a blessing, she scrambled to her feet and stumbled away.
Yan Xinxin frowned and watched Yan Zhirou’s fleeing figure, puzzled by the bizarre performance she had just
witnessed.
A few seconds later, the warmth in her palm snapped her back to reality.
"Let go."
Yan Xinxin shook off his grip, casting a cold glance at Mo Chuxi.
"I need to get back to work."
Mo Chuxi lowered his gaze to her, her flawless, chilly visage illuminated by the clear summer sunlight.
"Your shift ends in ten minutes. Have dinner withtonight."
"Sorry, President Mo, I'm busy."
"Since Lady Yan insists on callingPresident Mo, then you have even less reason to refuse your boss's
invitation, don’t you?"
His gaze locked on hers, and the corner of his alluring lips curled into a subtle, enigmatic smile.
"Mrs. Mo, get in the car."
